Customers say: Terrific value

"I had two leaded glass built-in cabinet doors that needed repair. The doors are close to the ground and kids had broken different panes over the years. Jim was very easy to work with. I was able to drop off and pickup the doors after hours. The quality of the repairs was excellent. I highly recommend contacting them for leaded or stained glass repair work."

"The house was cleaned well although I will say that when April is present the quality of cleaning is slightly better.  My issue with April is her failure to communicate.  As a service provider this is an important part of the total package.  My appointment on Saturday was for 9 AM.  At approximately 9:10 I texted April for a status update.  She assured me I was next and that they had run into a dirtier than expected house.  While I accepted this, I know she had to be aware by 8:30-8:45 AM that they were going to be late for a 9 AM appointment.  At 10:47 AM I again texted for an update and was told that they were on the freeway and would be there shortly.  At 11:15 the crew finally appeared.  I was then told that they had done another house in between the first and mine.  So why wasn't I told that earlier so that I could have had a choice in deciding whether or not I wanted to wait.  I had a noon appointment that I had to cancel at the last minute.  April's lack of communication showed a complete lack of respect for and consideration of my time.  I had asked April to call me so we could discuss this further.  I only got another text asking if the crew had done a good job.

"

The roof/shingle cleaning, and house pressure washing was done on April 6th, and the windows were done on April 25th. The services provided were good, and the price was good. Service providers were friendly and courteous.

The evening of the 6th I noticed about an 18" diameter circle of grass in my front yard that was flattened and turning brown. By the end of the day on the 8th, the grass was dead. I contacted the company, and was told it was probably the chemical they used to clean the roof. He apologized, and told me they would come out and fix it on the 25th, when they were going to do the windows, or sooner.

On the 25th, after the window cleaners had left, I found oil stains the size of a softball and 2 baseballs on my driveway where the providers van was parked.  By the 29th the grass had not been repaired, so I repaired it myself.

"Met with Pat Jewell in our home as she presented different designs and wood kinds available for use.  Mike, the carpenter worked with diligence and preciseness.  What an improvement to our closet!  It now looks like "Home Beautiful" magazine!  All workers were good, thoughtful and respectful of our home.  The steps were covered with a plastic covering.  All sawdust was disposed of.  They carted away all of their trash and old shelving. We were very pleased with the time schedule with work completed within time estimate. We were pleased with the expert workers who were brought in.
The workers always spoke when entering our home and told us when they were leaving at the close of the day or for their lunch break. They didn't leave any trash in our home. If there was a question about anything, Dale Jewell always met with us to explain it."

FAQs for stained or specialty glass service projects in Columbus, OH

To clean stained glass, dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with warm distilled water and gently wipe the surface. Skip ammonia or vinegar cleaners—they can pit the glass and weaken solder. Work in small sections, supporting the panel if it’s loose. Once dry, gently buff the piece with a microfiber towel. This gentle approach preserves colors vividly and keeps joints intact.

Give your stained glass a quick once-over each year to catch cracks, chips, fading colors, or loose hardware before they snowball into costly repairs. A professional inspection every five years is also a good idea; specialists can spot hidden structural problems and reinforce joints that you might miss. This routine keeps the panel secure, vibrant, and less expensive to maintain in the long run.

1800s or early 1900s—especially those associated with renowned studios—can fetch thousands, sometimes tens of thousands, due to their artistry and rarity. Newer reproductions rarely carry the same market value, but they still add character and color to your home. Appraisers or specialized dealers can give you a precise estimate before you decide on repairs or insurance.

Repair timelines depend on size, design complexity, and the technique required. Minor crack fills or paint touch-ups can be completed in a few hours, while full restorations—where every pane and component is disassembled—may take several weeks to complete. Craftspeople work slowly and methodically to protect fragile glass, ensuring the finished piece looks and functions as intended for decades to come.
