"I would recommend this business to anyone that needs HVAC service. The experience and service provided by Roy Rogers was great. The technician arrived on time. He was both thorough and informative during and after the service. I didn’t feel pressured to make any purchases. He simply presented the facts/solutions to allow me to make an informed decision."

"During the recent hot weather streak, I turned on my AC for the first time this year only to find it blowing warm air.  I prepared myself for the worst, knowing that the system was 14 years old.
The technician, Sean, arrived later that day and quickly found the problem.  It was just a stuck fan on the AC unit.  He quickly unjammed it and checked all the other functions of the system while on site.  I then asked him if it was time to consider system replacement, and he told me this particular system would probably have about six more years of life.  I was charged a very reasonable fee and he was on his way.  The technician was clean, well-mannered, and respectful of my home.

I have used this company for about five years now.  NEVER have I felt pressured into a sale or for a repair that was not needed.  If they would have told me the system needed replaced, I would have gone with their recommendation.

Having worked in the plumbing division of corporate owned HVAC companies for the past 8 years, I had become accustomed to high pressure sales tactics from the technicians and that system replacement was the only option.  I would caution other homeowners who read this to be leery of many of these HVAC companies out there, but not Smith and Son. Please stay privately owned and keep up the good work!"

"Went well. Called on a weekend (they are open only during the week) and left a message so they could schedule me soon. They called me (early!) Monday morning to schedule. They had an opening that very afternoon. Bobby arrived when I needed him to (after a dentist appointment but well within the 2 hour window) and set to work diagnosing the problem. Found the leaky float soon enough, and replaced it, waited and made sure the problem was solved. While he was there, he shimmed the dishwasher that had not been properly anchored when installed 10 years before, and also extended the feet of the trash compactor so the drawer would quit scraping my wood floor. Thanks for the extra care, Bobby. $60 service call, $60 labor/parts, -$10 Angies List coupon =$110."

"Jesse came out the next day and tried a few different easy repairs to the until but found it simply was not able to be repaired completely. A new unit was suggested. My husband and I discussed the pricing and we're impressed with the name brand and size of the new unit we'd be getting along with the one year SAC financing. The until was installed the next day and it's like we have a whole new home with our new AC system."

"We are on a service agreement with them. We are not the original owners of our home. We purchased the home in October of 2013. In March of that year, the previous owner installed an entirely new HVAC system, about $20,000 worth. There are 2 heat pumps and 2 furnaces. It's a hybrid system, so it will either run on electric or gas, depending on exterior temperatures. RT Moore was the installer. While we were not required to go with them on servicing, they are familiar with the system. They are the installers and it's a Carrier brand. So we are inclined to go forward with them and we are on a service agreement. We've had them since we moved here almost 3 years to the day.

Our agreement is they do a twice a year inspection and cleaning and everything. In the fall it focuses on the heating. Then we'll have them in May. I haven't scheduled the service yet but usually within a week or so of the call, they'll be here. That one will focus on the cooling.

We've been very pleased with their punctuality, professionalism and the quality of the work."

FAQs for radiant floor heating system installation projects in Danville, IN

In new construction, installing radiant floor heating costs between $19,000 and $48,000. The price depends on factors such as the heating system type, flooring material, and square footage. Since there's no existing flooring or wall to work around, the installation is more straightforward, reducing labor costs and improving project efficiency.

Radiant floor heating warms rooms by circulating heated water beneath the flooring, while baseboard heating supplies warmth through units installed along the lower wall portions. Radiant flooring systems deliver even and consistent heat, whereas baseboard units generate gradients of warmth. Radiant floor heating also reduces heat loss, making your home more energy efficient.

Tile and stone are the best choices for radiant heating because they transfer heat rapidly and efficiently. These materials warm the room quickly, ensuring optimal comfort. While wood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and rubber are acceptable alternatives, they conduct heat slower and require extra energy to achieve the same temperature levels.

Radiant floor heating heats an entire house only when every room and area is outfitted with the system. Installing radiant heating across all of your living spaces ensures complete and consistent warmth, eliminating cold spots while enhancing energy efficiency. Installing a whole-home system provides even warmth, eliminating reliance on forced-air systems.

In-floor heating systems deliver long-lasting performance, with tubing and coils lasting 20 to 35 years and boilers operating for 15 to 20 years. Routine maintenance and prompt repairs ensure your heating system reaches its maximum lifespan. A properly installed system provides reliable warmth over decades, making it a durable long-term investment in home comfort.

Radiant floor heating prevents mold growth by actively reducing moisture beneath the flooring. It maintains warm surfaces that dry excess water and lower condensation, which minimizes the conditions needed for mold to thrive. This efficient control of humidity results in a healthier environment indoors, ensuring that moisture issues are kept well below harmful levels.
