"FIRST: Hope sent out a nice man named MATT to plumb for a basement half bath. He was very good. Before leaving, he gave us a coupon that said $25 off ANY PLUMBING SERVICE. SECOND: On a house we own one block south, water was coming up through the basement drain. We had already had the main drain cleaned a week or so before, so we didn't think that would solve the problem as there was still water coming up. Hope sent out Kevin. Very nice, polite, prompt, but he basically did what the first drain cleaner had done, and that didn't fix the problem. HE SAID he didn't have the small snake on the truck to do the lines from the kitchen and laundry room. Why would HOPE send out someone who didn't have the proper equipment on the truck? "We had a different person who came out before them who was horrible and then I tried Crawlspace/Basement Waterproofing Solution because they were reasonably priced and they worked with me on scheduling their time so that they would be there when the electrician are there. They worked together with the electricians and were all done. They were wonderful. It was an all-day project but everybody worked together. Mike recommended installing a perimeter drain along the basement wall with a sump pump. The quoted price was very fair, and he didn't push back or try to upsell me when I decided to only install the drain along the problem wall instead of the entire house. Within a week (around Christmas as well), Mike and his crew came out and completed the project. They were friendly, punctual, and cleaned up after themselves. So far (2 weeks later) the basement is dry, and there have been several heavy downpours. "Our tub drain had separated at the trap, just below the 1.st floor but above the basement ceiling causing the ceiling to crash to the floor along with a tub of water. We called our home warranty company who in turn called this plumbing company. Since this was our only tub, they came the very next day even thought it was 7 p.m. by the time they finished. Their guy caught a potential problem with the trap needing to be raised to accommodate the drop ceiling repair. This in turn required them to cut the pipe further back and adjust the flow away from the new trap or we would have had another problem."
