"Long Holiday Weekend and my hot water heater quit. We had just moved in too. That should have been caught in inspection. Oh well. By chance we had HVAC repair scheduled and they offered to look at the water heater, but My Guy already squeezed us into his schedule. I'm so glad he did. His price came in lower than the HVAC service person's quote. My Guy provided options for repair vs replacement. Knowledge is power, and I feel we were given all the information up front. We opted to replace. He showed us how to operate the water heater and told us the schedule for maintenance to get the longest use of our new water heater. I highly recommend My Guy. We'll have him back again when we replace the sink and dishwasher."

He responded to my call for service the very day I called.  While he did forget to call me back initially with an estimated date of service, he was very apologetic when I called to remind him. He offered to complete the service as soon as possible to make up for the oversight.  He completed the job in a very timely manner, was tidy with his tools, and did a good job cleaning up. He arrived when promised.  Also, he saved us money whenever possible by offering to repair a particularly expensive part rather than replace it and he did not charge us for an additional trip to the supply house to exchange one of the parts we needed.  He was frank and honest regarding how expensive our requests were. He even tolerated our two dogs trying to help by following him around. 
Most importantly, Richard has integrity. He is a professional who will do the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. 
Richard is not trying to make outrageous profit but rather focuses on treating his customers the way I imagine he would like to be treated. That character trait is not quantifiable, nor can it receive a grade of A-F, but is the indicator of quality that I prize the highest.

My mother has a new air conditioning unit (similar to heat pump) that was installed by another company. Outside temperature yesterday was 96 degrees and the unit stopped working yesterday around noon. By the evening time, the house was 86 degrees which is dangerous for her as she is in her late 80's and homebound. I called the company who installed the unit and was told that it would be 3 weeks before they could come out even though the unit is still under their warranty. (Oddly enough that company also has "A" rating through Angie's List but I'm puzzled how that's possible.) The service coordinator was terse and said they only did "first come, first serve" which I understand when dealing with most of us. However there are times when priorities are needed.

I found Aire Serv on Angie's List. From the beginning of the call the experience was positive and very helpful. She acknowledged that home bound and elderly people needed to have a quicker response. She agreed to try to get someone out the next day and would try to get someone there today so would call me with more information ASAP. Meanwhile my husband attempted to problem solve the issue and fortunately managed to fix it. That is the only reason that Aire Serv did not do work for us. I will absolutely use Aire Serv the next time we need anything and highly recommen

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The operator, Tony Price provided a very professional service. At the same time, he provide quite a bit of educational information regarding septic systems. He removed his shoes before crossing our white carpet to inspect our sewer pump and was very careful to avoid backing his truck on our lawn.
