"Overall I am thrilled to death.  Had a few minor issues during the installation where my carpet was horribly stained due to them not using a drop cloth.  They allowed me to have it cleaned to my satisfaction and deducted this from the price.  Had it not come clean they were prepared to replace it. <br /> I cannot judge the entire company over the actions of one negligent employee.  Things happen all the time in the world and the measure of the company is if they take care of it and make it right which they did. <br /> So I was shopping for replacing 2 systems at my home I had recently purchased.  It was a foreclosure and in need of a lot of repairs. I was advised to get a quote from these guys by a friend from church.  I wound up going with them because they had one year same as cash financing and threw in the duct cleaning for free.   <br /> Very easy to work with concerning pricing and options.  having never owned a heat pump I explored several options including a hybrid gas unit but wound up upgrading to 2 14 SEER systems to get the limited lifetime compressor warranty.   <br /> Once everything was done they sent their head QC man over to fully inspect things and make sure it was all installed and running properly."

"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary. <br /> For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area. <br /> If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim. <br /> I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services. <br />"

"Donna and Jeff (owners) were hands on supervisors. They both patiently answered lots of questions and provided recommendations and resources out of their scope of business.  I felt confident that Jeff and Donna knew their business well and that my best interests were being well served.  I feel confident that they will respond quickly to any questions that I may have in the future regarding this project.  I would recommend them without any reservation.  I felt like I was fairly treated and charged a fair price for their services and the system installed.  Stated scheduled was maintained with proposed start and completion dates. <br>"

"Better than expected. Phil was the only contractor that responded AND came to my house on the same day that I called all the other contractors. He provided me the potential problem for my heat pump issues on the phone that eventually was confirmed during his initial visit and then during disassembly of the old duct system. He was very helpful in providing me additional savings and existing tax credits for the Attic Breeze vent system installed including for the heat pump providing me with the forms. Swift service done on a short time from initial call to complete installation (less than 1 week and completed installation in 7 hours). Great job by the technicians on the installation and housekeeping after the job was completed. Ben A."

"the service went very well. I was disappointed that he didn't move the dryer out and cleaned where the vent entered the dryer. I guess not too many vendors do that anymore. The cleaning from the outside did make the clothes dry faster. <br />"

"The crew arrived on schedule and began immediately with minimal fuss.  This was clearly a company that had all the requisite experience: they had hazmat suits, face masks and other protective gear, and worked very efficiently.  The job proceeded like clockwork.  Whenever I would come out to check on progress, the team leader would explain what had been done so far, what they were doing at the moment, what to expect next, and when they expected to finish.  They finished way ahead of schedule, cleaned everything completely and asked for me to examine the work to see if I was satisfied and to see if I had any questions.  The team leader also had a couple of suggestions re: controlling the impact of humidity in the future, and said if I had any further questions later on, to call him immediately. <br /> I did not shop around for other quotes on this job, but given the fact that they not only supplied a full crew for up to two days (although in this case it only took them a day, partly because our crawlspace was roomy enough for them to operate freely), but also supplied all the replacement insulation, PLUS all the remediation work, I consider the price to be well worth the results.  I would definitely use this company again. <br />"

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in East Ellijay, GA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
