"He wanted to replace the total granite top and backsplash along with the sink that mounted underneath I only wanted it mounted underneath and wanted to keep the existing countertop after he quoted it would be at least $200 more for his granite countertop I told him to call me if you just want to do the under sink mount. As he did not call after week, we decided to get someone else outside of Angies List. His quote of $350 just for the sink or $500-550 for granite top also was given to another who just replaced the sink for $150. I would not recommend him."

"Doing business with Goods Electric•Heating•Air was the best experience. This site would not allow for 5 STARS which is what GOODS deserves. This company and staff exceeded expectations. The staff worked diligently to ensure I was engaged in every step of the process. The communication, the team’s cohesiveness provided me with being a participant in this project. It was seamless from start to finish. The skill set of each team member enhanced the other. They use the best products which are highly rated, effective and efficient. Within a short time span the difference in my home was apparent. Their goal is 100% customer satisfaction. Indeed, I was 100% satisfied. The culmination of this excellence was in the masterful craftsmanship and skill of the two installers, Corey and Julian. I was present during the almost nine hours of their labor as they worked inside and outside. Their commitment to excellence, their expertise, their adherence to every detail, their focus, and their interlocked communication was something to watch unfold. Equally noteworthy was their patience and dedication in making sure the final product eas perfection. It was. After they were finished I was walked through everything they had done and given a master class in the operation of my new air condition system. 5 STARS for this excellent company and remarkable staff. I am grateful and appreciative. Time and money well spent. Thank you so very much. Carol"

"I have very crappy well water, full of iron and very hard. My old water softener failed and I reached out to Nick of Clear Brook Water Solutions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful but did not pressure in any way. I mentioned other systems I had researched and he explained some of the cons of those other systems which I had already researched. They installed my new softener, which cost way less than their competitors had quoted, and I couldn't be happier. They even halled my old one away. My water is so much better now. Their unit performs way better than my 25 year old unit and I spent a lot more on that one."

"They are replacing my water heater."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"We called Machen for an estimate to tear off our old roof on our house and detached garage. They were very responsive and Jodi even came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable regarding the materials and products we needed, and we were impressed that he actually climbed the roof to take all of the measurements, where other contractors we had contacted did not. The estimate we received was fair considering that the roof deck would need wrapped and the amount of ice guard we needed. Jodi and his team were on time every day and got right to work. They took their time on the job and were very conscientious about the work performed to ensure it was done correctly. Jodi takes a lot of pride in ensuring the job site remains neat and takes a lot of care to ensure they thoroughly clean up before leaving for the day. We ran into heavy rain halfway through the project and Jodi even came out on the weekend to ensure that the roof was water tight before the rain hit. The new roof looks great and we are very pleased with the end result!"
