"Our boiler stopped working, and the project turned to be a difficult one. It took about 3-4 days to complete, but he was very dedicated and meticulous with the work. He has multiple appointments throughout the day but he will not leave until the job is done. He will make sure every part is working properly. He is great at explaining what is going on and the work that he is doing in a way that you will understand. And if he needs to purchase more parts he is very transparent with the cost of every part of the project. Great customer service!!! "Honesty goes a very long way, and I can not stress enough how GRATEFUL I am to have called Amtech. It is December 11, 2018 and unfortunately, my gas boiler's pilot light went out sometime in the middle of the night. By early morning our home was was very very cold. I called my regular plummers located here in Queens, but they were unavailable all day, as it is the middle of winter and naturaly, the boiler repair demand is at an all time high. I came across the Amtech on Angie's list but noticed they were out in Brooklyn. Having absolutely no cash, I was very worried they wouldn't come out to Queens unless it was worth their time by fabricating some "repair job", even though I knew it was only a matter of lighting up the pilot.(But unfortunately, sometimes a home owner is backed up against the wall with no way out and has to take a leap of faith). After no other choice but to accept the risk, I agreed to have Arik from Amtech come out to my home. Arik was at my Flushing, Queens home in approximately 1 hour. When I first saw Arik in front of my home, I felt this very sense of sincerity and kindness, I just can't explain, nevertheless, I knew he still had to come inside and give me his opinion. Once he got inside he went straight to the boiler. He immediately took a look and began to explain to his assistant the process and what has to be done. In SECONDS he lit up the pilot, and the boiler turned back on. That was it, the boiler and heat were back on. I can not stress enough how relieved I was. At no moment did Arik waste time by trying to look for some "repair" excuse. But the good news didn't end just here for me, there's more.... When I initially called Amtech, Arik had quoted me $175.00 for the visit plus any repair parts and a %5 credit card processing fee. So, after he lit up the pilot, I asked him if he would please include cleaning/vacuuming the boiler in the $175. price, when he informs me the job will only cost me $99. (to honor a maintenance promotion I had originally found on Angie's List, but wasn't sure it could be applie).. Well, he did apply the promotion and my cost turned out to be $99. I was overcome by relief and happiness, that I literally could hear "Angels" singing. He could've easily charged me the $175. and due to the weather and a newborn in our home, I would've been stuck charging it to my credit card. But he never did me wrong. Arik, then asked me if I would like to learn how to turn on the pilot myself to which I agreed. Arik was very kind, and proceeded to teach me the necessary steps. Once finished, he didn't run out, he stayed and advised me on the thermostats that would best regulate my heating costs in that space. By the way, his assistant was very kind and professional when Arik step out. I can only say that Arik from Amtech did not take advantage of my situation, NOT EVEN ONCE, and helped me in more ways than I can say. He was never out to get me. Thank you to Arik and his assistant, for coming out here to Flushing, Queens, and doing right by me throughout the visit. You have gained my TRUST through your honesty, kindness and Expertise.
