"Absolutely terrible company.  The tech who provided the quote overcharged me for work being done (this was confirmed by another plumbing company); the tech insisted my main bathroom toilet was a lead pipe, even though I've had qualified experts in my home who confirmed it was not a lead pipe, but had to replace it. The tech also left my main bathroom pvc pipes disassembled, causing water damage to the bathroom vanity. This required another plumber to come out and fix it as it was also leaking. I tried to resolve these issues with the office, and both the office and tech took zero ownership of doing anything wrong and refused to do the work unless I paid them another couple hundred dollars on top of the $4000+ worth of work they did. They also failed to inform me that part of the work would have been covered under my home warranty. "

"CRS did a great job on replacing a leaking gas line to my home - all work - trenching, new lines, risers, working with People's Gas to get new meter and house-tie-in completed, backfilled, seeded, and straw-cover done in one day. I very much appreciated the high quality work and the speed in which things got done."

GoodCents manages the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program offered by Dominion East Ohio. Including up to $1250 in rebates to encourage homeowners to make homes more energy efficient, it all starts with a comprehensive home performance assessment - an energy audit - if you will. This three to four hour evaluation by a trained BPI certified auditor typically costs $400-$500. Through Dominion, it is now only $50. Included in this price, GoodCents technicians will return to conduct a quality assurance review of any improvements made.

"I very disappointed with Grout medic. They sealed my master bath and now I have sealant lines that have dried on tile. In addition, they removed old caulk and re-caulked shower. When the caulking never cured, I called them to come back. They ignored my requests. As a result, I have to hire another contractor to fix. Don't use grout medic - they are very unprofessional."

"Clint remodeled my upstairs and downstairs bathrooms in 2019. I originally thought he had done a great job, but my naivety got the best of me. I brushed off things like paint splatters and runs (though he made multiple comments on the pride he took on his paint work), and tile not set flush or with even/consistent grout gaps (he blamed it on my old house w no right angles/flat walls or floors), but I didn't have a great frame of reference back then. Clint went MIA mid way through the project, ghosting me only responding after I reached out to the design consultants that subcontracted him. He said he had ran into health/family complications, along with other prior scheduled projects, but his lack of communication left me to wonder. He eventually returned but technically never completed my bathrooms, as he never finished the upstairs threshold. Worst thing was his choice of metal flashing for the shower pan. I just had to demo the entire shower due to corrosion and leaks to downstairs. "

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ellwood City, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
