"I would highly recommend JCT solutions. We had a room replastered and a new attic access installed. JCT were great at communicating from the beginning and throughout the project. Mark is professional and they are reasonably priced. The plastering team were efficient, worked well together and cleaned up after the project was completed. We are really happy with the end result and would work with Mark and JCT solutions again! Thank you for making our spare room usable again!!"

"Brandon came to my house four separate times. First time to inspect and let me know what the problem with the bricks. He told me that the bricks just needed a good cleaning, so we set up a second meeting for him to test one area of the bricks to see how well they would come clean. The third visit he came out and clean the rest of the bricks. The final visit he came out and sealed the bricks. My brick fireplace and hearth looks amazing, and my wife is very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for brick repair."

"Cannot say enough good things about Burks Construction. Nick and his crew epitomize quality and professionalism - they showed up when they said they would and left my house cleaner at the end of every day than they found it. They reframed and refinished an exterior wall that had some previous water damage, installed new (beautiful!) French doors, did some custom kitchen cabinet modifications to allow installation of a larger wall oven, replaced some damaged siding, and built & installed some custom exterior louvers. Costs were very reasonable. Nick is an amazing carpenter and contractor - he and his crew are true craftsmen. Thanks guys!"

"His office called us the day before service to remind us about the appointment time.  I appreciated the call.  He showed up promptly at 8 am.  The fireplace had a gas firelog setup and I wanted to change to a wood burning fireplace.  He removed the gas firelog setup.  After cleaning the interior of the fireplace, he inspected the outside of the chimney.  He explained some small projects on the fireplace that I could do, such as mortar some of the firebox and clean and seal the chimney.  He explained that the firebox is in good condition and advised me what to look for that would indicate the firebox needs to be replaced.  He did a GREAT job!!! <br />"

"The price was reasonable for what he did. I think I got him off Angie's List. This man is very honest in what he says, does excellent work, his sons are working with him, his daughter is learning the business so she can help out in the office, she was out there learning, they are very good, and she was out there helping them put the bricks on our 3 car garage. We had to take them down, got them repaired, and they put them back up. They are excellent, excellent, excellent, reasonable in price, cleaned up, and I was very, very excited with them. They spent a whole weekend out here. I have already referred them. I'm just glad we found him. The price was very, very, very reasonable for what he did. I give them high ratings and would use them again in the future."

"They did an excellent job!  I am very pleased.  However, I was not prepared for the amount of leaves that would fall and cause an issue with the gutter in between the buildings. I wish I would have thought or the contractor thought to mention it and come up with a plan to handle the leaves that would fall. <br /> I now have asked them to come back and add an additional downspout and I will add the new foam spacers inside the gutter to help alleviate the weight of the leaves inside the gutter. <br /> Great company to work with. The guys that did the work are very polite, professional and are very cognizant of not leaving a mess and protecting your property."

"This Contractor is dependable, honest and takes great pride in his work.  I would recommend him to anyone.    He's done small jobs for me, but I've seen his work on big remodels and it's excellent.   Very easy to communicate with, takes pride in his work.  I do not hesitate to give him a key to the house...   and as a single woman feel completely at ease with him and his crew."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Geismar, LA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
