I was so impressed that I asked them if they could do a tune up on both the A/C and furnace, which they performed the next day. Brandon did both the repair and the tune-ups. He was excellent. "This company has treated me well, especially Mike Museus, who worked over a year (last summer and this spring) to find out why there was a fluid leak in my new AC unit. The leak didn't affect the cooling of my home so I wasn't concerned, but Mike was persistent, even to returning finally with an "expert" to help diagnose the problem. What they found was that the A-coil above the furnace was full of tiny pinholes. On the day this was to be replaced, Steve came before 9 a.m. to remove the defective A-Coil and install the new one. He worked on it all day, without lunch or a break, leaving shortly after 5 p.m. There was no charge, as it was still under warranty. With all that, he still took the time to explain to me why the replacement was so important: that the defective A-Coil could eventually leak enough to damage the furnace below it. Because he was using solder, I believe, to install the new part, he turned on the ceiling fan in the adjacent room to mitigate the fumes. My only complaint is that a few of my vinyl floor tiles were damaged/discolored by the soldering process. That part of the flooring has had water damage before and is missing a few tiles so, after a day of hard work, he may have attributed the damage to work done before. It's not a big deal; I just wish he'd have said something. I have to hand it to Steve, though; he was working by himself, which frequently required him to leave the furnace area to check the outdoor AC unit, then rush back to the indoor work. I think it might have been a two-person job. At least, an assistant could have facilitated some of the work done."

"I would like to give them a higher rating, because the service tech was great--prompt, professional and completed repair within a couple hours (which included having to pick up a part). I have to downgrade them on responsiveness, though, because I had to call twice and leave messages before I got a call back to schedule the repair. And then the actual repair could not be scheduled until 4 days after the call. I chose to stick with them due to the Angie's List coupon. Repair service was excellent; customer service could use improvement."

"Magic and Miracles (aka Michelle Pontrelli) came out for a weekend of completely re-organizing my house.   Over a weekend, Michelle and I cleaned out and then organized closets, my office and my garage.  Michelle hauled off three jeep loads of items to good will or to the garbage (as appropriate).  For a few items I wasn't using anymore, Michelle sold them on Ebay for me, taking less than a quarter of the sale price for her efforts in repeatedly posting the items, finding a seller, and then packaging and mailing.  By the time the weekend was over, the garage was spotless and open (it had been half full with items I wasn't using, empty boxes, all manner of junk.  The closets were clean, organized and actually had space left if I needed it.  I still smile every time I drive into my impeccable garage.  Michelle has subsequently done a house organization weekend for my mother as well.  She was so thrilled with the results that my mother's friend then hired Michelle as well.  I have since Michelle at her daily package rate to clean, run errands, whatever I needed help with.  I would recommend Michelle to anyone!"

Terry was impressive in both his extensive knowledge of the options available for replacement across various price points and the features, advantages, and benefits of representative units. He kept my needs in mind throughout his call and I felt that I was choosing what was best for my situation rather than being sold a unit he favored. Terry is not only knowledgeable but courteous, respectful, customer-service oriented, and professional in all aspects of his service call and his demeanor in interacting with me. He worked quickly despite having to replumb the pipe configuration created for the previous installation and a different physically sized disposal unit being replaced. The new unit is working with no leaks or concerning noise that typically indicate excessive vibration or incorrect installation. I placed a service request on Angie’s list and McQuillan Brothers was the first vendor to respond, demonstrating to me that this company is on top of the marketing of its business. If I needed further proof of this company’s competence, it occurred when their technician/licensed plumber, Terry, showed up at my door. I’m hopeful that I won’t need plumbing help again anytime soon, but if I do, I’ll be calling McQuillan Brothers and specifically requesting Terry to help me out once more."

"I didn't want to end up replacing the A/C system but the cooling wasn't cooling very well. After all it is 29 years old so I expected to hear nothing but that I probably needed to replace the whole system. One HVAC service company said it would begin at $800 (flat fee) and probably go up to $1,500 or even more.I called DJ's and explained the situation. After going over the problem on the phone, I looked at the symptoms Rick at DJ's described. He had Nancy call me back and she went over their service pricing. Standard minimum for one half hour and by the hour (but actually by the minute) after the first half hour which is what I wanted. Not a flat fee thank you. Coolant cost is by the pound or fraction of a pound. Exact pricing.Brian called the morning of the service to give me an approximate arrival and he was there on time. He went right to work and my concern of being ripped off evaporated. No fooling around, no stalling, just got right to work and got the job done keeping me informed of what he was doing all the way. He made out a detailed bill of what he did and the cost which was exactly what Nancy told me it would be. Honest, fast service. No surprises, nothing but good work at a fair price. DJ's will continue to get my call anytime I need furnace or A/C work. They have three locations but service most of the twin cities and all the west suburbs for sure."

"From the time I called Cady Handyman Services I was met with a welcome and the owner was quite pleasant as he took an account of the things I needed care with.  I was given an agreeable date and name of the Handyman who would provide the service.

Tom, the Handyman, called ahead of time to inform me when he and another man would arrive.  They arrived on time and quickly went to work after checking the list and informing us as to what the jobs would entail.  They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable plus they were extremely neat and very careful as they moved through our home.  They cleaned up after themselves.
Before leaving they, with us, rechecked each job to make sure the work was complete and acceptable.\

We feel we got fine service and  a reasonable price.
