"Called Burke and Sons to replace a ruptured how water heater, they were prompt in getting over but not much else was good. Two very young guys came over and did the work. They were not very professional but the job got done, so I didn't really care. I never really check the area where the heater is, and today I was in that closet and it's a mess. One of the vent pipes seems to have a leak and there is a bit of mold on the floor underneath the tank. The previous tanks in that spot had been there for almost 20 years with no such issues. Also, since it was urgent, no hot water, I didn't get prices which was also a mistake. My neighbor (condo complex) needed a new tank about a month later but got prices before having the work done and paid about 850.00 for the exact same setup that cost me 1150.00. I actually ran into the guy bringing his tank in and I stopped to talk to him and he was amazed at how much I paid, and asked if there was an office where he could leave his card. He figured he woud get a lot of business, being that much cheaper."

"The gentleman showed up on time and used a high pressure canister tool to force the crud from the drain. This wasn't the $40 tool you'd find on Amazon, but the plumber's professional version of it. He applied two treatments and thus far the drain has worked the best since we got the house 10 years ago. Part of the problem with a bathtub drain is that it can be a nightmare to auger - I have an auger and couldn't get it to make all the twists to get to the pipe. Note that you will be required to sign a waiver that relieves him of any responsibility if the pipes burst from the air pressure involved. This is not unreasonable, and I've seen plumbers wreck drains without telling people ahead of time it could happen. If the pipe's old, and that weak, a heavy auger could wreck it as well. He'll be the first person I call if I have another drain problem."

"Everything Buddy was involved in in this process went smoothly, despite all the curve balls the gas company threw at us.  When the gas company screwed up part of the exterior work and caused all the work to need pushed back, Buddy just worked with us.  I am really busy at work and I didn't feel like I had to work around his schedule.  I felt like he worked with me to find something that worked well for us and got the work done ASAP.   Buddy and his team took things in stride.  They recognized urgent issues.  He communicated with me consistently.  The entire project, which was relatively complicated with a number of moving parts, was manageable because Buddy gave me reasonable estimates of time and price.  He arrived when he said he would in the morning.  He finished the work in the time that he said he would.  The work was done over 3 days and he gave me a heads up on what would happen over those days.  Everything followed the schedule.  It was super easy on our side.  Even when the gas company "didn't have time" to meter our house for a week, which was unexpected - typically this is done next day - Buddy showed up ASAP for the final inspection once we were hooked up so we didn't have to go any longer than necessary without heat or hot water.
The basement looks better than before Buddy did all the work.  Every thing works really well and we are SO much happier and not dreading the winter.
A side note, we have 6 pets, including a dog and 3 indoor cats.  Buddy was incredibly considerate of not just our time, but also our home and our pets.  I had to leave 2 out of the 3 days he was working on this project and I didn't worry about anything.  The cats and dog loved him (which meant there was far less barking).  
I feel like I found a plumber I can depend on to be reliable and to do quality work.
