"After a consultation with Kenny on the work I needed done, I hired VA Brick Doctor. Kenny repointed steps on the front and back porch, and repaired couple areas on porch where tiles were cracked and loose. Due to rainy weather I had to wait a few weeks before he could start but the wait was worth it. Kenny and his assistant arrived early and worked in hot, humid conditions. Kenny is easy to work with, meticulous, and knows his trade. I was very pleased with his work. It has been a year since the work was done and everything looks great."

"<p>We had a really unpleasant experience with another local concrete company (TDJ Concrete OF Stafford VA, see review on Angie's List), who abandoned our job and took half of our money, leaving us with warped concrete forms and gravel. Our backyard was a muddy, gravel mess and was completely unusable for 5 months. As soon as we realized TDJ was not coming back, we contracted with Greystone Masonry of Stafford VA, and got on their schedule. Due to the busy time of year (Summer 2014) we had to wait 3 months for Greystone to be able to complete the project.</p> <p>Greystone came in and completed the job with beautiful results. They were easy to work with, and we really loved their beautiful showroom. Greystone did not try to price gouge us, even though they knew we were in a tough spot. They were reasonably priced. Most importantly, the end result was an absolutely perfect patio. Greystone has experienced, skilled concrete masons. </p> <p>Working with concrete is a time sensitive process. We would not recommend going with a small, amateur company for this reason. "Flawless transaction from start to finish! Had been searching for granite or quartz tops for two vanities during the complete remodel of the master bathroom. Had a reasonable quote from Home Depot due to a sale that was going on. At the last minute I found Discover Granite & Marble, saw that the company had good reviews, so thought I would make the 40 minute drive from Woodbridge to check them out. So glad I did! I met Joseph and he took one look at my floor and cabinet samples and knew exactly what would work. He took me into the warehouse where the slabs were to show me three slabs of granite he thought would work. The first one he showed me was spot on and the price was less than the quartz from HD. Before install, the entire staff was always very accomodating during my numerous visits whether to ensure what I had selected was the right choice, bringing in wall paint samples or the final slab selection prior to cutting. The staff was always on time during the measurment visit and the install. In our case, it was discovered the night before that the finished granite did not have the right edge. A staff member called to confirm what the edge should be and the granite was delivered when expected with the right edge. Can't say enough good things about Discover Granite & Marble and would definitly use them again."

"<p>I have a front porch with a concrete surface, brickwork around it, and brick steps. The concrete surface had a major crack, the brickwork had numerous cracks, and the brick steps had mortar deterioration. I found Manning Masonry Doctor on Angie's List and called Mr. Manning. I told Mr. Manning that I wanted the crack to be replaced with decorative bricks; the other repairs were to be made as normally would be. Mr. Manning discussed the project with me in detail and provided me with an estimate in a reasonable period of time. </p> <p>The work took about three days. Mr. Manning was always willing to answer questions and explain what he was doing. He protected the house and plants near the work area. He took extra precautions to eliminate dust from entering the house.</p> <p>About three weeks after the work was finished, a crack developed in some of the new mortar. I contacted Mr. Manning who arranged to return in a few days to replace the mortar. That repair held.</p> <p>I found Mr. Manning to be very professional and true to his word. I recommend him and I will use his services again. </p> <br />"

"Groome Brick Repair does fantastic Masonry work rebuilding a brick walls, driveway, and walkway. They were professional and provided very clear communication throughout the process while repairing our entryway steps. The quality of the work was top notch and I would highly recommend them!!"

"So like a number of other house, we had sinking front concrete steps. Our sizable front stairs had sunk about 6 inches and pull the attached walk with it. It got to the point we just had to have them replaced. I checked out various options for having them mud-jacked, but my concern was that that would not really fix the issue for the long term and they would just end up sinking again. After getting several bids we went with Tavis at Quality Concrete and Masonry. They weren't the cheapest bid but seemed the most trustworthy and had the best plan to make sure the problem did not re-occur. Tavis started on a Tuesday and was essentially work complete by Saturday. His work was very high quality. Because of the site, amount of concrete, etc. he used 1.5" rebar instead of the standard 0.5" rebar to tie the steps to the house. ( I've never even seen 1.5" rebar before.) Site was left clean each day and the final product exceeded our expectations."

"Initially Great! Jason came out and was very honest and knowledgeable. He shared what he would recommend to help with my structural damage / cracks and promptly sent out a report. After I made my decision to secure their services the contact  was lacking. A timeline or update would of put my mind at ease between the time they received the deposit and the actual services started. The work started and each day there was progress. Totally pleased. The final walk through: - Had a sticking door and was shown a trick to correct that by placing a rag in the door jam, the soil placed back in the ground was lumpy and full of brick/stone, brick mortar was not the right color but thought it would just lighten as it dried. A few months later...the mortar is definitely not the right color, there isn't a strap to hold down my downspouts and one of the downspouts fell off. I haven't contacted the company to correct as I will just live with the color and rig my own downspouts. The great news is I feel secure about the foundation work. <br />"
