I called Milltown Plumbing in the morning and they expected to send someone over later the day or the next day depends on how quick they can finish other works. "When they called (after I assume HomeAdvisor contacted them), I was told it would cost $89 to come out to give me an estimate. I had no problem with that but tried to get some rough estimate on how much a straightforward replacement of faucet would cost - but no estimate. When the plumber arrived, he first tried to get me to join some membership in order to get some percentage reduction in the cost (but I still had no idea of that cost). Bottom line was that the cost was over $600 for one hour of work. I will add that the plumber did an excellent job so I have no issues with their work. It is more about how they charge for their work. Next time, I will either find someone that is willing to charge by the hour or is willing to provide free estimates."
