"Frank is definitely not your typical contractor. He actually calls you back, emails you when you send him a note and texts back when you just need a quick answer to something. He's proactive with the timeline and finishes the job on time. "Mark was simply outstanding!  I first called him from work and that night he emailed to my wife and me, a list of what documents were needed and instructions on how to proceed.  He provided several refinancing options in detail relevant to our situation.  Never did he pressure us in what we should do, but rather guided us in making a decision that would be satisfactory to us, the customer.  He was always available when we had questions or needed advice and always kept us up-to-date with the refinancing process.  He was always up front with us and there were no hidden costs or surprises at settlement, which he had arranged at our home at our convenience.  At settlement, the gentleman explained the purpose of all the documents that we signed and was more than willing to answer any questions that we needed answered.  I would highly recommend Mark to anyone who is looking to refinance a mortgage.

"Actually. the project went very well. 































There were some minor hiccups but they were dealt with and resolved quickly.  The workers showed up on time, worked very efficiently and removed debris as they went along.  The parquet in the foyer and hall to the kitchen was original with the house, which was build int 1969 and we continued the parquet into the kitchen and powder room in 2005.  I understand from what my husband said that they had quite a time removing the the kitchen portion of the floor and they said that it took a bit longer than they'd expected; but I was impressed with the speed with which they worked, and I though that they were on schedule for what needed to be removed.  But, this is not my area of expertise so I'll have to defer to those that do it. 































The replacement material was wood-look porcelain tile that had a vintage oak look to it; I was trying to compliment the existing oak floors in the living and dining rooms.  The installation of the new tile went down and it look amazing, we were very pleased with how it looked until the grout was applied.  Sahara Tan was the color purchased but it dried more of a Butter Cream color which as far as I'm concerned, is too light; but the floors do look wonderful and changing the grout color will not be a major endeavor with the grout shield product that I found online that can be applied and wiped off -- dries in 10 to 20 minutes. 































Anthony Barrera, the owner, is very personable; he was the person who came to our home initially to price the work to be done.  Since this was an insurance claim, I told him that the areas to be replaced had already been measured, so he didn't measure it himself.  As with any job, when buying materials, extra is always purchased just to make sure that there's enough to complete the work to get done.  I told Anthony that the area measured 280 sq ft, and that is what he based his price quote for the work to be done.  I purchased 300 sq ft, in an attempt to make sure that we had enough, which came to 20 cases of 6" x 24" tiles.  The entire  job took all but 5 tiles in the last box so Anthony adjusted the price accordingly.  I did not have a problem with the price adjustment. . .we agreed to set price for the stated 280 sq ft and it turned out to be a bit more so the additional cost was justified.  No problem.































I waited for a week or so, to give the floor some time to settle a bit and for us to see just how it looked.  We are very pleased with the work, although I have contacted Anthony to let him know that there are 2 minor issues that need to be resolved.  I'm waiting for him to get back to me so that we can schedule for someone to come out to take care of a loose tile and one that is a bit uneven.  Other than that, we are good and happy to have gotten the work done so efficiently and timely.

"I used Ruxton Design and Build to remodel my condo kitchen and breakfast nook. During the initial appointment I went over what I was looking to have done and the possible color schemes that I wanted to include. The design was very nice and there even included a bench seating area made out of cabinets for my breakfast nook. It was a great utilization of space. I picked out my cabinets and most of my selections from the showroom, including my backsplash tile, flooring, handles, and knobs. It made things very easy. "First, the painters moved all of the furniture my wife and I couldn't move, removed the venetian blinds, and covered the carpets, kitchen cabinets, and counter tops with canvas or plastic sheeting.
The painters then spackled, sanded, and caulked  all of the nick, cracks, nail pops, and dings in the walls and ceiling. They also caulked all cracks between the baseboards and the walls, and between the crown molding, walls and ceiling. The ceiling was then painted with two coats of ceiling white, the walls with two coats of satin wall paint, and the trim with two coats of semi gloss white. The painters were prompt, pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. Each day before the left, the painters cleaned  the areas that they were painting so my wife and I could use the kitchen and family rooms. The finished work was beautiful.
