"I hired Aqua Sewer & Drain to repair a leaking pipe under the slab of my home - by no means a simple job. Alec was clear with my repair options and the cost estimate. He and Jeff together were able to perform the entire repair process including removing and replacing the flooring, jackhammering the slab, and the leak repair itself. Throughout the process, they kept the work area neat and kept me updated on their status. Once the job was complete, it was as if there was never a trench in my living room. I was completely satisfied with their work and recommend Aqua Sewer & Drain."

"Excellent Job, We had a bad clog in the sink. Multiple plumbers suggested replacing the entire pipe. But Lois was able to fix with his special tool and cutting a small hole in the ceiling. He completed the job in much less intrusive way and costed us less money. Well done."

"Nick Conte & his crew are excellent!!! We have used them before so when we were getting our home ready to put on the market & needed some misc. work done such as fixing a leaky pipe, replacing a kitchen sink faucet, repairing a shower sprayer and fixing a broken handle on the bathtub faucet, I called Nick. Walter, who has been with Nick Conte for many years and a really nice guy, came over to review what needed to be done & gave us solid advice and proceeded to meticulously repair a pretty long list of items. They are very trustworthy and I highly recommend them."

"Called around to different vendors from Angielists before settling on Hoffmann and Sons. Dane and Fedi came on time, I think even a little early. They removed the old water heater and installed a 40 gallon gas Bradford White heater with a pan. A new supply value was also installed and all the piping and gas connections were checked to make sure they were updated to code. The filing of the permit with the township was also included as part of the overall price. They also stopped by at no charge to re-pipe the master bathroom sink. There was a shared wall between the new water heater and the master bathroom."

"They are really good! The last time I used them was March or April this year. They fixed some pipes and leaks. I have had them over about four times since I moved to my house. They cleared a back up in my sewer lines and they fixed that. I once had this problem with my toilet leaking into my basement and they fixed the tubing for that. I had a similar leak in my kitchen and one in my bathroom. They just went in there and solved the problem. This is an amazing plumbing company because they are professional. If they say they will get there within the hour, some times they are there within twenty minutes. There estimation is right on so I don't feel like I am being haggled. When I speak to the woman she will tell me what it cost for him to come out. She always tell me to wait until he comes and then he will tell me the correct price. They tell you how long it is going to take, so I know whether or not I am going along with it. I feel like I am being handled correctly. They are just kind people. I would use them again in the future."

"Dan and Dave came quickly on short notice. Although the stoppage manifested itself in the washtub from the backup from the washing machine next to it, the run from laundry room to kitchen was clear with free flowing water in each direction. The kitchen sink would fill up too after 5 minutes of washing dishes with water on low. They needed almost all of a 75’ power snake to reach and clear the blockage. They went in under the kitchen sink to do this. Dave replaced the paper thin copper connecting tube and a short run of questionable down-pipe too. All of the work took about 3 hours and was clean when they finished. The guys are very personable. Will definitely use “Affordable Plumbing” again! Thanks guys!"

"Keith showed up the same day and repaired it quickly and efficiently. In addition to fixing the problem, he actually was able to explain to me (in layman's terms) what was wrong and why it happened. I also got the impression that he is not the type to do unnecessary repairs. Nice guy and very knowledgeable."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Highland Park, NJ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
