"I can't rate on price because my landlord handled the payment, but Will's crew was punctual and did a fantastic job on a complete bedroom ceiling replacement. We had a leak in the roof in July and Dependable Services came through when nobody else was available. They worked with us within our schedule (my wife and I work in the school systems so taking off work is difficult due to lack of available substitutes). They arrived within the 1-hour time frame they promised each time and the job was done within the time frame they estimated. They came out twice (once to remove, replace, and plaster the ceiling and then a second time to paint it) and did a beautiful job from start to finish. I'm loving having a new ceiling that doesn't have two cracks running from one end of the room to the other with a panel sagging two inches from the rest of the ceiling. What I especially appreciated is how well they cleaned up after themselves thoroughly before leaving. They kept bathroom and closet doors shut to prevent debris and dust going in there from the master bedroom, all trash was bagged up before being taken outside to my front yard (which I told them they could do because the next morning was bulk pickup), and they vacuumed before leaving. A negative experience with a different contractor had me worried because I was always finding nails and screws lying around or fishing plaster pieces out of my dog's mouth. Dependable Services left NOTHING behind in terms of tools, debris, or nails, which I was grateful for because I have two small kids and a dog. The only thing they left behind was a bit of spackle on the floor which came right out easily with a little water and a paint scraper. I can't fault them for it because it was easy to miss as it landed in a corner behind my bed and I only found it because I mopped after they left. 10/10 would hire them again!"

"I can not speak highly enough of Jason Everetts. He was honest, professional, communicative, reliable. A pleasure to work with. Jason managed independent contractors (like flooring install) as well as did his own work (painting, doors trim, etc). Went above and beyond - picking up material, taking care of small unplanned details, etc. without additional cost. NO expensive "change orders". There were more problem's with this remodel - none Jason's fault - than with any other project I have done. But Jason dealt with each issue successfully and enthusiastically. As an absentee owner (I live in Orlando) it was a pleasure to have Jason take care of the project. His price was extremely fair. Worth every penny. I have done several remodels. None has had a better manager than Jason. I would use him again in a heartbeat. He gets the highest recommendation I could give. If you want someone to do a great job at a fair price, and communicate with you... then choose Jason!"

"Ted Alesch Contracting installed and built a covering for a kitchen fan.  This was done as part of a roof replacement but the fan was a last minute add-on.  Alesch Contracting was friendly and responded to my request promptly.  Upon installation of the vent covering, Ted painted the covering and it looks great.  I am very happy with all services I've received from Ted Alesch and I will use him again for my remodeling needs.  I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"This was the last of at least a dozen jobs this contractor has done for me over the past eight or nine  years.  A bit pricey, but outstanding, historically correct restorations and repairs.  Color matches mortar, finds matches to old brick. <br /> Matched new chimney to others in historic neighborhood in style and brick color. <br />"

"I am actually delighted with Mailbox Kings eye for detail in advising me to match the paint and trim to the colors of my house. They designed an attractive keystone to match the design of my home. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. The job was started and completed on time. Mailbox King drew a design so that I would know exactly what to expect. I would recommend Mailbox King to anyone needing to replace or have a mailbox built. I live in a homeowners association that the work must be approved before anything could be done, and they approved the craftsmanship of Mailbox Kings quality of work. Their price was reasonable. <br />"

"<p>Job included investigation and repair of weak, spongy spots in the flooring of a hallway, bathroom, and laundry room in our 10-year old manufactured home as well as application of ceramic tile on the repaired floor (approximately 200 sqft).  Four contractors visited our home to give us estimates and all were professional but Mr. Thomas hit it right on the nail when we told him what we wanted to have done.  He responded promptly to our call for an estimate and a reasonable estimate and accurate scope of work statement followed within 24 hours of his visit.  His "tile guy," Marcus, was the onsite supervisor and was accompanied by his team members, Jimmy and Chuck.  We did some of the prep work ourselves by removing the bathroom vanity and moving all the appliances out of the work area.  Total job took 3 days.  First day included removal of all linoleum, investigation and repair of all spongy areas, removal of baseboard and toilet, and application of cement board.  Second day was the longest day and included installing the ceramic tile.  The third day was supposed to be a short day as Marcus had only planned to grout and then replace the toilet.  However, we asked if he would reinstall new primed baseboard for us, which added on about another 5 hours work.  At all times the crew was professional and friendly.  They arrived promptly and completed each day's work as promised in a timely manner.  The only cost overrun was done by us when we unexpectedly added on the request to replace the baseboard and Marcus and his team completed that work as well without complaint or delays.  And they cleaned up each day after work!!!  We were overwhelmed at how meticulous Marcus and his crew were when installing the tile.  We had requested that the tile be installed in a "diamond" pattern, which we knew would be more costly in materials and labor, but the care shown by Marcus, Jimmy, and Chuck was exemplary.  They had to measure and cut individually approximately 60% of the tile in order to install it as we requested.  And the results are spectacular!  We would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company to others and would certainly rehire them in the future.  </p> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Hilliard, FL

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
