"I bought a water heater. They first connected me with a plumbing company that tried to add on $270 for additional materials and labor costs that they could not justify. I returned the water heater, and they again connected me to Holthaus. Holthaus called later that same afternoon and scheduled for the next morning. Dan came out and installed the water heater and new stand in just an hour. He only charged $30 for additional materials related to new gas fittings. He was very polite, transparent, and thorough. Compassionate honorable Delaware Township Trustee Debbie, wanted to gift my poor elderly mother to replace her old sump pump and old water heater from the donation funds. I was so moved by her extra ordinary compassion and kindness to look after my poor elderly mother. She gave my mother the best mother's present in her life. Even though compassionate Trustee Debbie was paying for this project, I had a big responsibility to find the best estimate and honest plumber. I'm a frugal person and a smart shopper, so I decided to do my homework by asking around plumbers' advise. Plumbers educated me that Bradford White water heater and PHCC sump pump are the best products for longevity. I requested Angi's member specialist two dozen plumbing referrals. I called the two dozen plumbing companies and then explained to them that I need an estimate for new Bradford White 80 gallon water heater and 1/3 horsepower PHCC sump pump. It is very important that homeowners must diligently get as many estimates as possible to find the best and honest company. Some plumbing companies gave me high estimates and difficult to work with. Most of the time, plumbing companies charge service calls with repair jobs. There were two companies that caught my attention, one was 24-7 Plumbing Heating and Cooling, advertised that they do not charge for service calls without commitment and the Peterman Brothers Plumbing Company advertised free second opinions. So I decided to include these two companies' estimates too. The owner of the 24-7 Plumbing Heating and Cooling, Brandon gave me the best reasonable and honest estimate. Another plumbing company was $300 more than Brandon's estimate. I realized that out of two dozen plumbing companies, I found the two companies with the best estimates. When I called the Peterman Brothers Plumbing, they insisted to provide an estimate after they inspect the water heater and the sump pump. The Peterman Brothers Plumbing company sent Bradly to give an estimate. I didn't like to play games so I printed out Brandon's estimate and gave a copy to Bradly and asked him whether your company can beat Brandon's estimate. I was very surprised to Bradly's response that, "You want our company to do a charity work?" I realized that Brandon gave me an honest and very reasonable estimate to help out honorable Trustee Debbie and my poor elderly mother. I was very disappointed with Peterman Brother Plumbing company, I cannot imagine their high estimate. I was thinking if they want to give a free second opinion, they must come up with a competitive reasonable estimate. Otherwise, they will be wasting their time and the trips. Even today, I still could not forgive Bradly. Even though he inspected my mom's old electrical water heater and he took Brandon's estimate. When Bradly emailed me an estimate, I could not believe that he intentionally gave me an estimate for a gas 80 galloon Bradford White water heater. I contacted Bradly again and told him that he sent the wrong estimate instead of the electrical water heater estimate. He told me that he will send another electrical water heater estimate but he never did. Seemed like he wants to hide their high estimate. Honorable Trustee Debbie requested that she wanted to meet Brandon at my mom's house. I talked to Brandon several times on the phone regarding this project and the estimate, he was always so kind to help out customers' concerns, questions, and willing to go extra miles in explaining to me in details so that I could understand well. Especially being a woman, I am not that familiar with plumbing projects and products. I appreciated him even more when I met him in person. He was honorable, modest, nice mannered, and trustworthy man. On April 30, Brandon's crew plumbers showed up, they showed high professionalism and work diligently all day long. They only used premium quality materials and did an excellent job in installing the water heater and sump pump. My poor elderly mother's 25 year old home is somewhat neglected, especially, the bathtub faucet was worn out so I bought a new one in advance and I asked Brandon's plumbers to help install the new one and they did it even if it is not a part of their job. I also asked them to re-caulking around the bathtub and kitchen sink. They were glad to help me. Especially, I was concern about any leaks under the kitchen sink, I asked them to check it out and they checked it for me thoroughly and I really appreciate them doing that. I felt that Brandon's crew really cares about my poor elderly mother's situation. I was very happy with this project and I really appreciated Brandon, his crew and also compassionate honorable Trustee Debbie from the bottom of my heart. I highly recommend this company to other homeowners."

He showed up on time, didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing how to replace the filter, popped a new one in, tuned up and cleaned my unit and suggested some other routine maintenance that was overdue without pressuring me to do it now. Ultimately, I decided to have him clean my a/c coils while he was here since he had a little time before his next appointment. He showed up on time and called when he was on his way. I felt that his pricing was fair and he was knowledgeable. He was even really sweet to my dogs. "Service guy came as scheduled. Sent his "service" requirements to home base Home base calls back and lists, a very long list of what needs to be done and a very long list of what is not covered and what each item costs. The overall cost was outrageous and they weren't willing to give it to me in writing. Everything I had to pay for was overpriced, of course! They told me my other option would be to purchase my own water heater and they would reimburse me for what there water heater would cost, but no reimbursement for Labor, building permit, or any upgrades required by the local building department. The requirements of the building department were minimal. I went to Home Depot and had them do the installation and saved many hundreds of dollars. Lesson learned, have AHS do simpler repairs that don't require municipal building department approval. Have AHS pay for the equipment, and purchase installation from a trusted local installer."
