"Outstanding company. Owner is amazing. She listens attentively to what you want done. She aims to please, making sure you are fully satisfied before you pay. Her team built our firepit, installed sod for our backyard, and selected and delivered the right rocks we needed for soaked areas from rain on our property. She provides high quality services at very reasonable prices. Owner also is highly knowledgeable and well versed in so many areas involving home ownership. She is very ethical, dependable and reliable. I highly recommend Mighty Masonry and absolutely will and plan to use them again."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"Michael of Cater Enterprises called me right away and came out the next day to survey what I needed. After discussing what I envisioned and his recommendations we came to a very reasonable price within my budget. He started work the very next day with a very experienced crew. They completed the job above my expectations. They completed a 24' block and stucco retaining wall and a brick mailbox in one day. Very satisfied. Thank you ServiceMagic and Carter Enterprises."

"Mr. Darryl and his brother Mr. Alan and their associate removed an improperly built exterior addition wall for me. The addition had vinyl running to the ground sitting on wood. The men removed the vinyl about 5 feet up, dug out the old rotten wood, and laid a footing. They then laid cinder block to meet the vinyl. Next, they applied a stucco covering for me, and included 3 vents as per code. They were efficient, prompt and professional. I could tell this was not the first time they had done such work. The men worked 6 hours straight, no lunch break. They came the next day to pick up the old wood as we had talked about. I paid $500 up front, and the remaining $1500 upon completion of the work, per their request. I felt very comfortable with the situation. I could not recommend these men more. I am a very happy homeowner. The work looks great!

"After getting several estimates, we decided to go with Ben Seguin for three reasons. First, we were told that his company could do all of the work without having other contractors involved. Secondly, he could match the color of our dining room table, which was important to us, and finally, he said the work could be done in 1day which would have had the job completed before
Thanksgiving!  Initially, he was going to coordinate the countertop installation, but the company that he used was uncooperative and evasive. That is a long story!  We found another company that was great to do the countertop.
Ben was very cooperative and accommodating to our wants and needs. He had very good ideas and was very encouraging during the planning stages. The overall plan was for him to prepare the project off site and install everything in one day. Several delays occurred, some of which were not Ben's fault. However, the project slowed and installation seemed tedious and we missed our Thanksgiving goal. It was understandable that even though this was a fairly small project, there were details that caused a longer than expected installation. But it did seem that communication was lacking and several times he was difficult to reach
and took longer than expected, especially with the details. The bulk of the installation was indeed in one day, but he was unable to complete the drawers, glass work, and wood finishing. He had to reschedule and after several return visits most of the work was completed. We actually were not completely satisfied with the wood finish, so we sanded and applied several more coats of
finish. The lower pull-out shelf runners are heavy duty and auto-closing, andv work fine. However, the lower shelf construction was a bit wide and scraped the edges of the doors and frame, so he had to adjust and shave the sides. They are much better but we still have a few issues with the width of the shelves themselves. There were 2 additional shelves that he promised us (because of the
delays, they were not part of the original quote), but he never completed nor installed them, and has not returned our calls. The upper drawers were out of adjustment but after he adjusted them on a return visit they are now satisfactory. The upper unit is good and attractive. One door on the upper unit and one door on the lower unit came loose from the hinges and I had to reinstall the hinge and reattach the doors. The electrical work was good and complete.
Overall the project is attractive and functional. We are enjoying the addition to our home, but there are a few more 'tweaks' that we'll do to the unit to make it just like we want. Ben has good ideas and seems very willing, but might have a tendency to over commit and miss some detail. He's very personable and likeable, but could have communicated better during project.

"The shower was to be repaired and painted and the floor of the garage was to be Epoxy , walls, ceiling painted The second installment for the project was to be paid when these two items was completed and signed off. On July the 24,2024 I asked to test paint the rooms the new color just to make sure the color would be okay for what I picked out. Nigel agreed to pick up the paint and to test paint before the project was given the green light in an effort to keep the project on track for time. At this time is when I made a comment about the repair in the bathroom did not match the rest of the shower as I felt he was going to paint the complete shower as we had spoken in the past about the repair would not match and I wanted it to match. This is when nines are fresh that I would have to pay more to have the shower pain and he was charging me for the paint samples. I told him to proceed and we would resolve after everything passed inspection. I gave Nigel a pass on the inspection of the floor and to start the rest of the house but the was still problems with the floor. Hi, you said if wants the floor dry if that was any issues, he would take care of it, but it was only because the floor wasn’t dry yet that I was seeing what I saw. Nigel stated he could not paint the garage because the floor was wet and he would take care of it when he was doing the rest of the house and I agreed. On July 28, and then on an express several times about the floor having issues as well as he had the bathroom door locked, and I could not really look at the bathroom shower when it was being done. July 28 I agreed to pay extra fees that he was charging on the first of the month after I got a chance to look at the floor after being dry. I also agree for him to go ahead and start the rest of the house and he picked up the paint on the very next day, July 29. . The same day I made the second payment of three payments for the deposit for him to start the rest of the project and he had picked up the paint to start painting. On August 1 2024 Nigel demanded payment for the floor in the garage and the bathroom shower even though the task has not been completed or he would not start the rest of the household for what she had the second installment of payment to start. This point we had a back-and-forth I sent him the money and told him that this was crazy that we would probably have to end up in court if he did not finish the job and finish it correctly. We had a couple more back-and-forth and he decided that he would take my calls and he would come and complete the job but he wanted to if he wanted to, as we had no contract for his work"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Holy-Trinity, AL

Yes, brick veneer is considerably more economical than full structural brick construction. The veneer materials cost between $3 and $11 per square foot, depending on the specific type selected. Installation is also less labor-intensive since veneer doesn't require the same structural considerations as load-bearing brick walls. This approach delivers the classic brick appearance without the full expense of traditional masonry construction.

When properly installed and maintained, brick veneer can last up to 50 years. Longevity depends largely on installation quality, regional climate conditions, and periodic maintenance such as mortar inspections. This impressive lifespan makes brick veneer a cost-effective choice despite a higher initial investment compared to some alternative siding materials that require more frequent replacement.

Brick veneer serves primarily as a decorative covering rather than a structural element. It doesn't provide the same thermal mass benefits as solid brick construction and requires careful moisture management to prevent potential water infiltration issues. While veneer offers excellent aesthetic appeal, it doesn't contribute to the structural integrity of your home in the way that traditional brick construction does.

The cost for partial installation depends entirely on the square footage of the area being covered. Using the same per-square-foot pricing, $3 to $20 including materials and labor, you can calculate costs by measuring your front facade. Many homeowners choose this approach to maximize visual impact while managing their budget effectively. This targeted application often creates dramatic curb appeal enhancement without the full expense of complete home coverage.
