"Best Air Quality and Restoration did a spectacular job! I can't say enough about the employees. They did an outstanding job! They were punctual, polite and followed social distancing protocols. They assessed the home and cleaned the air ducts quickly and efficiently. I am very pleased with their service and highly recommended this company. I purchased a new home and had them come clean the ducts to improve the homes environment. They showed me before and after pictures and I noticed a difference right away"

"I have near-gut renovated two row houses in NW DC over three years including ambitious basement renovations and I wish I had met Chris Marshall at the beginning of the process with House #1 instead of in the middle of the process with House #2 because he was by far the most professional and responsive of any of the nearly two dozen contractors I probably interviewed in some shape or form over 2 years. His quotes were timely and the most detailed, and when I did the math it was actually cheaper to use Chris than to use contractors with much lower quotes because I invariably had to go back and rehire someone new to fix problems left by the cheap guy. The North Star's workmanship can't be better, the crews were professional and tidy, and the prices were actually right in the middle where they ought to be. (I was trying to go super cheap at first). I think the before/after pics for House #2 speak for themselves. I'm hoping to pull equity from this home to purchase House #3 in 2019 and I'm already envisioning using Chris for that project too. Professional, reliable, trustworthy, very knowledgeable, good value for the money. I'm sorry I didn't meet him sooner."

"We were restoring a rental property after a tenant move-out and contacted Unbelievable American Restoration Services for air duct cleaning and tobacco odor removal.  This was our first time using this company and we were very impressed.  Their service was very professional, timely, and a great value for the services rendered.  They arrived on time, advised us on what services they were going to perform, and explained the process.  They were very efficient, very knowledgeable, and did an awesome job!  The customer service was great and they do aim to please!  We do value a professional service and have definite plans to use Unbelievable American Restoration Services in the future, and highly recommend them to others seeking home restoration services.

"It went very well. I was pleased with their service. He was very thorough and explained everything effectively.  They were very good about being neat and following all the proper procedures for removing mold.  We have a statement that further explains they did remove the mold. As long as we follow through with the process, we will not have any mold in the future. Another think I really liked about the service was the initial phone conversation.  He explained, not just their role in the company but the all other aspects of removing the mold. He stated we need to hire other people to address the other areas that are causing the mold.  He also gave a lot of suggestions of the different types of service providers to call to address the water leak."

"Bill was very responsive and did a very thorough assessment of the water damage. He provided a detailed estimate for the work at a fair price. My homebuilder agreed to repair the damage and I didn’t need to hire Flood Crew LLC. I would hire Flood Crew LLC in the future if needed."

"They did a good job.  I have an electric fireplace."

"Can't imagine better service, or price. It was raining on the original date of work, and they immediately scheduled another work day in the same week. They called when they were running late, and when they showed up the workmen were professional and downright pleasant to talk with. I wasn't able to get onto the roof, so they took pictures to show the site before and after. The people I dealt with knew what work needed to be done, as well as my scheduling requirements, and seemed genuinely concerned with my satisfaction as a customer. I have no doubt that MJ Home Services will be the first contractor I call for my next repair."

"FD folks seemed  good on the front end of this job, doing the demolition, removing damaged materials and placing the drying machinery.  After several days, they monitored the humidity and removed the equipment. However my insurance agent felt that they placed more fans and dehumidifiers than were necessary.  Additionally that those fans and dehumidifiers selected were more powerful than was needed.
When they removed some wet carpeting and padding, they used a much larger vehicle than was needed for that volume of material.  In other words at every turn they seemed to take options to push up the cost of the job.
As a layperson, I can't know for sure what is the accurate and necessary number and type of machinery, but this is the second time that such issues have come up on a Flood Doctor job.  I then go through a fairly drawn out period of dispute between the insurance agent and FD and I have to try and mediate between them.
Another issue that came up is that FD technicians moved some ceiling lights in the remediation process, but then misplaced or lost the screws that held those lights in place.  This ended up being a big problem as the screws weren't in stock, had to be special ordered taking 6 weeks.  I had to get an electrician to re-install them, when a handyman had tried and failed.  FD refused to take responsibility both for having lost the screws originally and also for any reimbursement of the associated costs to replace them and reinstall the lights.
At one point in our back and forth on this, they made indirect threats related to debt collectors and associated impact on my credit record.  Despite these remarks, at this point I have made my final payment, but minus a portion of the cost for the ceiling light issue.  I am waiting for them to cash it.
