"Ben is fantastic! He is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were very impressed by his attention to detail, and his dedication to making sure everything was done correctly, even to the point of making sure the pipes were straight and esthetically pleasing! Not only that, but he ensured that trash, dirt, etc. was cleaned up before he left. Ben's prices are more than competitive. We will definitely use his services again and highly recommend Fix a Drip Plumbing."

"I purchased a coupon for $100 for "$200 worth of work". And I basically had to force the issue to get any work done. He said "that isn't what I meant" when I showed him the leaking outdoor faucet, so the coupon didn't seem to be as it appeared. The spigot that was actually used looks like a gas valve, rather than a water valve, which is rather frustrating when trying to get the water pressure right for the kids' sprinkler, washing the car, etc."

"It was good. We only had one small complaint. The connection to the gas line had a leak. We called at 10:30pm at night, they told us a dispatcher was close. But they never came by. I called them, I had to call them three times that night. They did come to fix it the next morning. They were apologetic. The quality of the installation and the work was good."

"I had a wonderful experience with Johnson Plumbing. I called a few places and got answering services and the ones I spoke to was either to high or would come out 3 days later. When I called Johnson Plumbing not only did they answer right away but had there tech Charles to my house within 30 mins to my call and had me and my family back up and running within the hour. I’m so thankful for this company and for all y’all do. Keep up the great work and I definitely recommend this company to anyone that is searching for your plumbing needs. FAQs for gas piping projects in Jenkinsburg, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
