"The listing agent on a home I bought, which had a lot of leaks from freeze damage while it sat empty, referred BMF PLUMBING to me. BMF owner Joe Brawner understood the problem and the importance of fixing the leaks ASAP. The real problem was that, because the leaks hadn’t caused any damage yet, the water was cut off at the meter, leaving us with no running water. Joe was called the afternoon of my move-in, and the next morning, Joe was there. He methodically identified the leaks and fixed them, then turned on the water to check for more leaks and fixed them. In about 7 hours, Joe had fixed multiple leaks, probably more than 7, and also tightened up and updated fixtures that needed a little work. We were so pleased with the total bill for all the work that day (under $1K) that we are going to have Joe re-pipe our home this summer. "I feel as though Rueben duped me! maybe i should just kick my own ass?! but he comes over, diagnoses the water heater (which is leaking from the bottom) as repairable without replacing the tank itself. just as other reviewers mentioned, the cold water inlet needed to be replaced at his recommendation, the spout needed replaced (to the tune of $510) ? he proceeds to turn the water back on and voila, water rushing from the bottom again ? he then says, oh your tank has a hole in it! tells me to put my ear to it, like i?m listening for a gerber baby ? not making this up at all .. so then he?s begun working on another $1,400 quote to replace the tank! am i wrong to feel duped by this professional?"
