"Mauricio and Crisjan were the initial sales reps who came to examine the issue and they took the time to test drainage that might have potentially been creating the water issue. They offered a reasonable solution (sealing the visible cracks and holes in the concrete and I was contacted within a couple of days with an estimate and scheduling options. Sean was our tech and he did a fantastic job diagnosing the issue beyond just the cracks. He not only address all the holes and cracks in the concrete and mortar, he sealed up additional entry points above the foundation. He sourced additional materials to cover openings for cable lines. He went above and beyond and gave us measured information on how we should continue to monitor and treat this area as the house settles. He was thorough, informative, and provided excellent service in his work. I'm very glad that Sean was the technician sent to us and I would specifically request him for your projects."

"My husband and I came across 7th State Builders online. Eddie came out to our home for our initial consultation. He was punctual and professional. He listened to our vision and took the time to draw out a plan and explain the process. He was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. We decided to do a big project at our home. For the back: a rebuild and waterproofing of our previous deck and a large patio to go underneath it with a fire pit and sitting wall. The front of our house needed some repairs so we had them redo our sidewalk in the same patio pavers from the back. The whole area in front of our garage was cut out and they put in new concrete and leveled it out. They rerouted our gutters to prevent flooding as the previous design was doing damage to our foundation. The owner, Chase, was very hands on and kept us updated the whole time. He frequently made sure we were happy with the way things were going. The whole team made this project an enjoyable experience. Iâ ll admit, my husband and I can sometimes be difficult people to please-But wow!! They really knocked it out of the park for us! 7th Stateâ s precision and talent is unmatched. You are truly working with people that know what they are doing and they are the best at what they are doing. Communication from start to finish was consistent and open. They were very patient with our ideas and they added to our vision in ways we didnâ t think was possible. The whole crew was professional and extremely hardworking. Not only did they do an amazing job but you can tell this is their passion. The little touches they put on everything are amazing. The details they put in set them apart from the rest. On every area of this project they went above and beyond. The transition of starting another area after the completion of another was seamless. Once they had completed our deck they immediately came in and started working on our patio, and so on. They did not miss a beat. When you are working with 7th State you are truly working with the best in the area. We will use them again in the future and we recommend them to anyone that wants true quality and a modern take on what you are looking to do. Thereâ s nothing they canâ t do! Thank you 7th State for making our vision a reality!!"

"Exceptionally well installed! Peter and Jose were professional, meticulous and thorough. They worked extra late to ensure everything was installed perfectly and the house was left immaculate. Definitely recommend and will use them again!"

"Tim and his guys did awesome work for us. They came out in really quickly and what I thought would be 2-3 days to pour concrete skirts was finished in 1 morning in 3 hours."

"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. "Lou is personable and professional. Overall, it was as a good experience (in the context of experiences that I never wished to have). Here are some areas for improvement: - cleanliness: the crew covered furniture and used drop-cloths, but it was spotty and the use degraded over time. Basement shower was left with lots of junk that stained it. - attention to detail: the crew installed the black wall covering system in a sloppy manner instead of a tight fit. They also installed the sump hole covers with too tight a fit. - poor prep for put-together crew: the waterproofing crew cut erratic and uneven interior trenches instead of taking the time and using the tools to leave the concrete flush with a straight line of tile. This added $750 in extra cost to put the basement back together. Note that the crew brings in day labor to haul buckets of waste out of the house."

"Kiras trimmed bushes and trees in yard and around the house.  Mulch was placed cleanly and evenly.  They edged where mulched, and looks clean and sharp.  We have several flower bed areas where they cleaned up, spruced up and made to look nice and presentable.  Front area of driveway he rearranged and made look very nice, did weeding and detailing.  Did great on the clean up, and now looks like a model home.  Not the least expensive, but by far the best landscaper I have used so far. <br />"

"BJ Global enterprises came highly recommended from a friend who have used them on a couple of projects. We reached out for a kitchen remodel and they were great and responsive at first. Their level of customer service was very good, great ideas and very good on guiding the customer through the steps of designing and planing a gut job of a kitchen. As the scope of the work got hammered out as well as the design it slowly went downhill and then showed complete lack of professionalism. We had asked them what they think a feasible start date was looking at their schedule and our lead time for plans etc. In late August they said they had us down for a Sept. 11th start date, we expressed that that was aggressive and figured it would move. The date had moved 2 more times (within reason but starting to feel like a pattern). <br /> All the materials (cabinets, appliances, lights etc) were chosen and final measurements needed to be done. This is where things seem to get hairy and communication drops....They now bring in a new cabinet designer, Elaine, who is lovely and had some great ideas. Elaine was to double check all the measurements. We found this odd since we were told initially that and quot;Elaine has moved onand quot;(a designer they had worked with in the past and spoke highly of in early talks). That was not a issue at the early stages. They had us work a designer from Lowes, which we were happy with. So the final measurements were done on a Saturday and by Monday or Tuesday the second designer came back with some fundamental design changes that we did not understand nor request. A new cabinet maker was now brought into the equation, and quot;Timberlakeand quot;. This is after all we were told by Azeez, was that Shenandoah is the best and easiest to work with and we picked out the cabinets over a month and a 1/2 earlier. <br /> We were then told because of our various changes on the cabinets that the target start date was now moving to Oct 21st. We felt like we were being jerked around a little. We sent a courteous email asking for their commitment that this target date will be our last - in that we will be sticking to it. <br /> Azeez responded saying that they were and quot;offended at the insinuationand quot; that they have been dragging their feet and then say it is best to go with another contractor. I truly feel they had another job that was more profitable and wanted to delay ours (which if discussed it could be ok but an expectation had been set by them and they failed to meet it). <br /> We truly found them to be promising and was excited to have them complete our kitchen but unfortunately their lack of professionalism has now caused a delay to a project that should be getting underway in less than 2 weeks."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in La Plata, MD

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
