Small jobs welcome

"Rance Came to our home on time and gave a careful evaluation of a job I needed done. Rescheduled it for approximately a week and a half out. That day he again was on time. He removed my old hot water heater and placed the new one in its new location and adapted the Plumbing. He was very clean and wore protective covers on his shoes. He was very courteous and informed. And when I needed to adjust the list of services I had agreed to, he gave me no quarrel. He removed the item that I no longer need. Excellent service from excellent people!"

"Jon did a timely, quick, thorough job. And this, after hours. Had he not fixed us up after the workday ended as he did, we would have either been without water overnight or paid our water company to spill 3 gallons per minute down our street. Get Winkle’s Plumbing whenever you can. They’r grand."

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Lake City, TN

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
