"Purchased Angie's List special - 3 hours handyman work.  Mr. Schwenzer faced a daunting task - due to severe foundation issues, one side of the upstairs bedroom door had dropped down considerably, preventing the door from even coming close to closing.  He had to remove the door and all the trim and framing, cut away part of the drywall to square the opening, and then replace everything.  He was able to do so without damaging any of the trim or framing, and the door now closes easily and perfectly.  It took the full three hours and I could not be happier with the result.  I found Mr. Schwenzer to be knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and the quality of his work excellent.  I highly recommend him.

"We heard from a mutual friend that Mike was looking to start up his window restoration & repair business again. They had a good experience with him a few years back. We recently purchased an older home which is not in a historic area, but which by age is "historic". We are looking to make improvements on the exterior before starting on the interior. So we are speaking to various contractors about window, siding and roofing. We want to maintain the character of the house. We have looked at vinyl windows, which would in many ways be a good choice, but they are just not the same as the windows we have, which are original. We asked Mike to come out and look at our windows. After looking at the windows, he showed us briefly what he had found, explained his restoration process and what we could expect. He said our windows restored to "as new" condition. And, with a good warranty. We received an estimate to restore all the windows; and, a separate price to restore those most in need of work. At the moment, we are weighing our options, but Mike was knowledgeable and thorough. We will be doing something w/ him in the Spring, once we have reviewed all out options and decided on a budget."

They couldn't have been more accommodating and nice from my very first interaction through to the last interaction.  They came out when they said they were going to, kept a very clean worksite, and the attention to detail on the installation was excellent. We wound up ordering everything from Lowes so had to manage delivery, in retrospect, I would have let Indy Restoration do it all but they were very helpful and got out as quickly as possible to get everything done.  I have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

"The 2 installers seemed punctual, courteous, and knowledgeable, but as a customer I feel that I had to assist too much. At first they weren't going to remove the old water heater. I pointed-out that "Removal and disposal of existing water heater" was listed in the advertised deal. (If it weren't for that and the Angie's List endorsement, I might've chosen differently.) In order to get the old unit out (and be finished that same day), I had to help them tip the old water on its side (to let the water in it drain-out), had to help move the old unit up the stairs and outside (we used a hand-cart), and had to help haul-away the old water heater, using my truck, to a location about 9 miles away. The new water heater has been in-use for about a month, without any problems. I'm glad that I was able to take care of the water heater replacement in one day."

"The job went well.  Mr. Slater did a very good job in a timely manner.  He was very quit, clean and professional.  He installed a new valve on the bath tub faucet that required soldering copper pipe.  The quality of his work was excellent.  We are very pleased with our new bathroom.  Bob is a very nice person, honest and trustworthy. I would definetly hire him again.

"The wash was good, the wax was very good except for a few spots that were dusty with wax (not too important). The interior was not very good. they did a fair job dusting the dash but did not use anything on the dashboard to protect it from the sun. The floor mats were vacuumed well but some very dirty spots were not cleaned up.
I was a little "under the weather" at the time so I did not go out and inspect the job. Still for the price, I couldn't complain. Give the outfit a few months and they will improve. Like now, maybe?

"Sorry this is long, but I need to explain my situation. I had a problem with my shower leaking. I had just paid $5500 to have my old fiberglass stand up showe, which was cracked, replaced a year and a half prior. I thought it was just the grout, so I called a grout guy from Angie's List. Thankfully he brought Joe...just in case. Joe explained to me exactly what the problem was. The installation was not acceptable work. I needed an entire tear out and redo. He gave me options and understood that cost was a major factor.  He knew what he was doing and had a vision from the start.  I made my decisions and he gave me a quote. The materials were a little more than he anticipated, but he kept the quote the same. He even fixed a couple other things I needed done without an extra charge. You can't find that type of service anywhere. The only downside was I felt he was spread a little too soon. It took him a while to get some things done, but in the end it was worth it. He's very knowledgeable and good at what he does. This all happened about a year and a half ago, but I didn't want to review too soon. I was scarred from the previous incident that cost so much much more.  I guess I was a little worried it would leak. He promised it wouldn't and it didn't.  The date of service was a guess."
