"Going to take two visits, but that is because they wanted to see if when the unit thawed the fan was still working and save me over $1000. Turns out the fan is shot. So, calling them back, but I know they will be able to fix it. They have done work for me on this unit before. They cannot service all units, as I have a business and they weren't able to fix that one. But, they said that when they got there and looked at it before they spent a lot of time or money on parts, so at least they are honest."

"Furnace was not operating because the company's automatic delivery system ran me out of oil.
Technician showed up promptly and got the furnace operating but could not get heat into the house. Had to reschedule to have zone valves replaced. Technician show up late and didn't have the required parts. Had to reschedule again.
The third technician showed up on time with all the correct parts and worked most of the day to get the system operating properly.
He was completely knowledgeable and very conciencious that everything was working correctly.

"They were excellent.  The house I bought had a 27 year old hot water heater.  It was obviously on its last leg.  When it nearly stopped providing hot water, I called my home warranty company, and they sent Modern Mechanical.  The technician was so nice and honest; I felt as if he was a long-time friend.  He explained the advantages of a tankless system and since I was getting money from the home warranty that it would be worth the difference I would have to pay.  After installing the system, the kitchen faucet didn't have good pressure, so he replaced it for free.  He even worked to get one that looked like the one I had.  They were absolutely wonderful and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

"My water heater began leaking and so I needed a new one ASAP. I worked with Stelios. He was very responsive via the messaging feature in Angie's List, over email, and on the phone. I found Stelios to be clear in his explanations and forthcoming with my different options, even if they'd put more work on his plate. Stelios made sure his work was up to code and made recommendations to improve the installation of the water heater which wouldn't cost any extra. He kept his work area clean and left everything looking good. Our hot water is back and the new water heater is working very well. "Reddick & Sons replaced my interior and exterior HVAC units after the old system stopped providing heat in December. They identified three different replacement HVAC system options across a range of prices and capabilities. Once my decision was made, their office arranged for a technician to take measurements. He efficiently reviewed the situation prior to the day of the installation. On the day that the work was done, the installation team provided advance notice of their arrival. They laid down plastic sheeting to cover carpets, wore PPE, and accessed the work area through the patio and basement to minimize direct contact during COVID. The work was completed on-time and within budget. The team gave me the HVAC product brochures and registration information, and I was able to register successfully for an extended parts warranty with the manufacturer. In the future I'd be very happy to have Reddick & Sons provide regular check-ups of the HVAC system."

"It was worth the cost to have a spacious vehicle and not to worry whether they would show up and be on time, but on the return trip there were plenty of cabs waiting at the Metro station, and we paid one of them less than half that. Still, next time I *have* to get to an airport or train station on time, I would probably pay that premium to use him again."

"I walked in ABS's repair shop, at 6PM (closing time), with a part from my car and asked them if they had or knew where I could get a replacement part.  I described the problem with my car and they took time to listen to me and understand the problem.   They asked me to bring the car to their shop but it was not drive-able.  So they offered to tow my car to their shop, for free, and  diagnose the problem with my car.  They gave me a verbal estimate of what the repair would cost, based on my description of the problem and the part in my hand.  They said they would call me in the morning with an estimate and timeline to complete the repair.   
The next morning, around 9:30am, I received a call at work from ABS. They had my car in the shop and told me I needed a new radiator.  They told me the cost would be $425.00 and that they could get it done that day provided they could get the part.  I said do it.
They called me around 3:30pm and told me my car was fixed.  
I picked it up a 6pm...closing time( again) and they took time to review the repair with me.  
I will definitely bring my cars to ABS for maintenance and repairs in the future.

He walked us through the available options and fully answered our questions which made the decision easier. He also worked to take advantage of manufacturer discounts and to arrange the installation. The day of the installation was pouring rain but the team worked around that without complaint or mess to our home and were finished by mid-afternoon."
