"I have hired this company on many different occasions by this point. Hot water tank replacement both electric and gas, re-plumbing a house, finish trim such as vanity, bathrooms, kitchen sink, etc. Installing clean out for mainline side sewer, scoping and clearing obstructions for mainline side sewer, digging down and replacing clogged side sewers. What is impressive and important to me is the sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality of work. In my 20 years of looking after houses, Nathan is by far the best plumber I?ve ever worked. And on top of all of that, I find the pricing to be very competitive.. "

"1st response reached out with an e-mail and asked for specific information as well as pictures so they could come prepared. They were sent pictures and told that the current water heater needing replacement was a 48 gallon 52" water heater so we needed to go with a shorter, 50" model. When the installer arrived he had the tall skinny model. Despite sending them pictures and specifics it doesn't appear the installer was able to review that information because he arrived with a tall, skinny model which didn't fit. He provided information which did not completely match what the owner described but we quickly came to a price for the model we currently have and they rescheduled and did a great job with the install. All new lines, expansion tank, connectors, etc."

"Seatown Electric did a great job and I will call them again when I have electrical repair or installation needs. They were very responsive - even on the weekend. They returned messages and calls promptly. They provided status updates of where my technician was by text message regularly. My technician, Taylor, was prompt, professional and helpful. Everyone that I spoke with at Seatown was equally professional and helpful."

"The plumber, Diego, arrived when expected and did a very good job installing the new gas water heater. Good work but cost of almost $1,900 seemed high to replace a gas water heater in the garage of a 9 year old home where the existing water heater plumbing was only 9 years old.."

"We needed the main line coming into the house repaired. Their bid for the repair was lower, they were knowledgeable, the problem was fixed quickly, and they came in under budget. Would hire them again if we needed to."

FAQs for water main install, replace or repair projects in Lowell, WA

If you notice puddles or standing water in your yard, a sudden drop in water pressure, cracks forming in your foundation, frequent clogs in your plumbing fixtures, or water that looks or smells unusual, you might have a leak in your main water line. These signs mean it's time to call a professional to evaluate the issue and prevent further damage.

A professional water main inspection is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed plumber who checks every section of your plumbing system. The inspection costs $165 and uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify hidden leaks or wear. This service clarifies the exact condition of your water main, enabling precise repairs that prevent future damage and ensure the overall health of your plumbing system.

Protect your water main by scheduling a cleaning and inspection every two to five years. The average cost of a sewer line cleaning is $400. It’s also important to never dig in your yard without first calling the dig line (811) to ensure you don't accidentally hit the water or sewer lines. Watch for soil erosion, low water pressure, or wet spots in your yard, and take immediate action if you suspect a leak. Remember, the longer you leave it, the worse the problem gets and the more costly it is to fix.

When properly maintained, your water main is engineered to remain functional for 50 years or longer. A durable water service in excellent condition should consistently perform without major issues for half a century. In contrast, metal pipes exposed to acidic soil corrode faster, whereas modern plastic pipes resist corrosion and function for decades beyond metal alternatives. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential for confirming your system’s longevity.

No, homeowners insurance does not cover the cost to repair a water main. Insurers fund only sudden, unforeseen events like a burst pipe and exclude gradual issues or normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from leaks, such as mold remediation or property claims, is not covered. It is essential to contact your insurance provider immediately to confirm your policy’s details and any potential adjustments needed.
