"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"Called Marv's specifically because they have portable cameras that can inspect inside your pipes to see where the problem is. Our home was built 3 years ago and we had been having problems with our kitchen sink not draining unless we ran the garbage disposal. Upon inspection, it was discovered that our pipe was full of water. All other pipes in the the house and the clean out drain outside were clear. The technician snaked the drain 3 times and finally broke whatever was blocking loose. It was due to his diligence that we finally have a free flowing sink."

"Our first contact with Northwest Energy Systems was with a service person who came to repair our existing furnace. After examining the 30 year old furnace, the service person told us we need a replacement part that would cost approximately $300. He then went on to tell us that the current rebates on energy efficient furnaces, plus rebates from the gas company, would make purchase of a new high efficiency furnace a good option to consider. After thinking the situation through, we decided to purchase a new 96% efficient gas furnace. One call to the office, and we were scheduled for an installation. On October 24, Scott came to put in our new furnace. He was here about 6 hours. He removed the existing funace, installed the new gas furnace, and cleaned up all evidence of his work. We were highly pleased with the courteous treatment we received and with the service of all the personnel who visited our home. The provided exactly what we wanted, with no delay and very little disruption in our home while they did it."

"Plumbing is excellent. Something happened and there was another leak in another place and they didn't come back. I don't know how the price is because I don't know what everyone else cost. It was fine with because it got fixed, but I can't tell you what other people cost. I would absolutely use them again."

"They arrived right on time for a rather early appointment! The guys came in and laid down paper in the house to keep things clean, and went to work. They were both very professional and friendly and did a great job. The plumbing for the water heater installation was beautifully done. And they even came back for an early morning appointment to adjust the toilet. They are hard workers, honest and good at what they do. I recommend them and their work! <br />"

"Mark Tschetter of Tremkoe HVAC came to our home and performed the safety/performance inspection on our high efficiency Lennox gas furnace. I had never used Tremkoe before, but decided to give this smaller, local company a try. Mark had one other excellent review on Angie's List so I gave him a call. He responded promptly and was even a little less expensive than some of the big companies. Mark was very knowledgeable and performed the inspection in a professional manner, giving me good advice on maintaining the system and the strength and weaknesses of various brands of HVAC equipment in case I needed a new system in my next home. Overall the experience was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and Tremkoe to anyone needing heating and/or cooling system service. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lynden, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
