"Simply put, Trevor and his crew do great decks.
I have to share my 1st attempt on hiring the right guy for this project. It consisted of me getting a couple recommended contractors from others and thought I was good. Instead it was terrible, to the point where we mutually agreed it was best for them to remove the decking and poorly installed addition and walk away. Naturally I cautiously interviewed several more deck builders before deciding on MN Construction.
From the 1st call, Trevor impressed me. He made time out of his busy schedule to stop by or take my calls. He gave me an clear overview, answered questions and concerns from the last guy's work, explained why when asked, left samples, etc. He suggested deferent designs and product over others and why, building my confidence quickly. After we traded a few emails/texts, my decision to go with MN Construction was an easy one.
During the project, with a crew of 3, progress was made quickly. They were efficient, hard working, and asked questions when needed. The results are more than we expected to get because of his recommendations and I know our deck with last longer because of the quality of work/product they used. When I'd point out this or that, boom done, and better than expected. After interviewing several and hiring a couple, it's hard to find guys like this out there. You can bet they will be getting another call from me on other remodel work and I have already passed their name on.

He took time to explain to me how the project was going to progress and his anticipated time schedule. He relocked the garage door each time he went out for materials as I requested. He also took time to remove his shoes which is very important to my wife who really appreciated it. The door installation went well and I’m very pleased with the entire job. "Hal's work is top-notch but I grew increasingly frustrated with the timing and inconsistency of his work habits. His was one of several estimates I received and basically he said he would beat any estimate I received. The difference is that everyone else was going to use cedar and he only works with pressure-treated Southern yellow pine, which is less than half the cost of cedar. I was unsure of the durability and longevity of that product so I did extensive research online. Still unsure, I drive around the Twin Cities to see other jobs Hal did that gave stood the test of time and I decided to move forward. Clearly, the way he builds his fences require considerably more manual labor than those built with cedar posts and pickets so essentially instead of paying for the higher cost of cedar, you pay for increased labor costs. Unfortunately, Hal isn't as going as predicting when he will get jobs complete as he is completing them well. He was over a month late in getting started and I repeatedly had to call him to inquire about the delay. It was quite frustrating but since I didn't absolutely need the fence done by a certain date, I decided to practice patience. Once he finally started, most days he and his helper only worked 4 hours so the project dragged on far longer than I thought it would. Admittedly, there were a couple of weather-related days but other times when it was a perfect day, they wouldn't show up and I would give no idea when they were coming again. After I told him I really needed to have him be more communicative, he was and within a short time after that conversation, he completed the fence. The fence is beautiful and appears very sturdy. We'll see how it withstands time and weather but for now I am very happy with it. Hal does beautiful work but if you are on a strict timeline I would not recommend working with him. If you are flexible and don't mind putting more effort into communication, he is a great person to work with.

"Our old house has suffered through several additions and consequently walls and floors are not level or plumb. The Rossbach team did an outstanding job of understanding what we wanted and the quality of their work is second to none! They also had no problem letting us do some of the work, like the demo and the wall finishing. We would definitely use them again!"

"I think the finishing around the window could've been a little bit nicer. Our basement isn't really finished. It still the brick wall, cement wall.It just seems like it could've been finished off more than it was. They were quick. I didn't see a lot of debris or anything. I know sawing through cement can be messy but they seemed to be very clean and efficient. They were out here pretty quick. We checked around and they were very reasonable."

"I was very happy with Victor when he responded to my request the next day and were able to start working very quickly and completed the work on time. They work very hard and they accommodate change of plans very well. I was happy with the fact that they were open and willing to negotiate. They were humble and the workers were very respectful and flexible. Just make sure you are clear about your expectations and address all issues immediately."

"I used Fair & Sqaure to finish out the basement on my home. The original builder had only roughed in the basement and plumbing when the home was build a couple of years ago so wiring and all the framing was needed. I wasn't thrilled with the layout that were in the builders original plans so I met with the designer from Fair & Square to see how the existing roughed in plumbing could be modified to include a full bathroom rather than the 3/4 bath and to add a bar area. They came up with a good plan that didn't require major modifications and included the things I was looking for. They also had good suggestions on layout for the family room and bedroom that really worked with the walk out and how we planned to use it. Through the construction project our project manager kept us up to date on progress and what to expect. Everyone who worked on the project was sensitive to the fact that we were living in the home as they were completing it and tried hard not to be disruptive to our family life."

"We decided to finally update the main bathroom in our home and wanted to have it done for our sons graduation party. We meet with Bob and told him what we had in mind, he worked with his team and sub-contractors, and  came through on everything  and then some. Bob was able to get the job done on time and budget.  The crew  used drop  clothes and pick up after themselves daily,if it wasn't for my curiosity  to see how it was going each day when I got home, that I had to go open the door to see what got done while we where at work .we wouldn't have know that there were workmen in the house.
I will be giving Bob a call again when we are ready for are next update. We are so happy with our updated bathroom the fixtures, vanity, sink ...  it looks so rich .  Loving it!"
