"Feels like a brand new home. This company is worth hiring. I had more work than siding. Initially I wanted a quote for windows but ended up getting a home makeover. Crews were professional. Owner stopped by to see if I was happy with the progress. Will definitely hire again. Great company!"

Window World is America's largest replacement window company, offering a House Full of WIndows Installed from $3,979.00 with a lifetime warranty including glass breakage. Window World of Boston serves all of the areas surrounding Boston. Because of our superior quality products, and exceptional warranty guaranteeing them, our vinyl replacement windows are energy star certified and have earned the coveted Good Housekeeping Seal. Our goal is to serve the Boston metro area with the finest quality range of the following home replacement products: New vinyl windows can make a major impact on the external appearance of your home, as well as increase property value, and save you money on energy costs. The sleek, clean design of a new replacement window will draw attention from neighbors as your home shines like new again. Window World of Boston's new vinyl replacement windows also meet low E energy-efficiency standards **, which will save you money on heating/cooling bills. New window replacements will correct any existing leaks and gaps between frames, as well as insulate your home better due to new technological advances in window glass.

"Initial sales process went well. Estimate included itemized pricing of each window. Financing explained (and written) in clear simple language. Installation was when things started going downhill. Our most expensive large bay window was installed with a broken lock. It would was the installer who actually brought it to our attention. We were told customer service would follow up with us. A bathroom screen had a hole in it. Again installer was aware of problem. Overall installation was sloppy. I received an email from a Window World rep requesting a review. We told the rep about our unresolved issues with installation and told her a review would be forthcoming after we heard from customer service. This person apologized and again told us a customer service rep would call us That was on Feb 11 2022. No word yet from customer service. Not happy and cannot recommend."

Contracting services

"Michael and his crew built a large addition to our house on what was once a walk up attic. The homeowners supplied approved prints, engaged the architect, and handled processing a variance with the city. Michael acquired the permit and provided the building/contracting services. The permit was acquired in August, work did not begin until November, and the permit was closed in September the following year. Overall, Michael’s direct employees (foreman, carpenters, and painters) did a good job; finish work was excellent. However, his subcontractors (plumbing, HVAC, electrician) repeatedly caused substantial trouble and showed a lack of care/understanding in their work. Plumbers shouldn’t pretend to be electricians, and HVAC contractors should engineer their install and follow manufacturer’s specifications - it’s not a guessing game. Michael himself was at times easy to deal with and understanding (like when our attic was flooded causing damage to the lower two floors), and other times patronizing and seemingly unaware of his own subs schedules. Poor project planning early on w/material lead times (windows) lead to no attic insulation over the winter & a pest infestation. Quoting & invoicing from Michael had double counted items and was obviously copied over from a previous project, while leaving out key items such as masonry work. Multiple mistakes set the project back and cost us time, sanity, comfort, and money (some of which was reimbursed). The list includes: frying the main thermostat (multiple times), shorting out the boiler control board, reversing hot/cold water lines, leaving water to the house mostly shutoff, the list goes on… None of these problems were identified by the contractors but left for us (homeowners) to discover in a string of unfortunate test scenarios during the evening. To Michael’s credit most were fixed reasonably quickly. The HVAC subs were probably the most consternating, repeatedly demonstrating a lack of understanding in their own profession which at several points nearly derailed the entire project. As the last laugh the project was ‘finished’ without ever testing the heat in the new 3rd floor, and the A/C system still struggles with low cooling demands. We would not recommend hiring them for a major addition. We do not trust their subcontractors. If you have a simple painting, carpentry, bathroom, or kitchen renos they can probably handle it."
