"Daniel came out and replaced the seal on the bottom of our garage door which mice had chewed through. Our door was 20+ years old so I expected the track that the seal went into to be outdated and it was, I couldn't even find it on Youtube, so a new track was required for the new seal to fit into. Parts and labor for this 8' metal track was only $50 in addition to the quote for the actual seal. I priced this out beforehand with competitors and I must say the pricing for everything with 1A was the lowest and very fair. I will definitely call 1A when needed again. "My garage door was behaving erratically when I attempted to close it -- to the point where I had to manually assist' in the closing of the door.  Obviously, I needed to have it serviced.  I went to my 'go-to' site for a referral and discovered ELK GROVE OVERHEAD DOORS on Angie's List.  The technician, David, arrived shortly after the scheduled time and proceeded to inspect the door.  He swapped out the door rollers and even added addtitional brackets to better support the door rails. Before he left, he did additional little things to ensure a quieter garage door operation, as well as giving me tips on future maintenance.  Overall, a dream experience!  My garage door now works like it did on it's initial installation some 10 years ago.  Thanks David and thanks ELK GROVE OVERHEAD DOORS !!

"Jim was very responsive and provided all the information and options I needed. He began the work ASAP and kept me informed (I work out of the area) as the work progressed. We also agreed to replace the concrete with flagstone paths which overall improves the character and look of the home. Completing this foundation repair, while a significant expense, and the replacing the failing water lines takes a big load off my mind since the house is well built and is now in good shape for further weather events. "Received a quote for a silicone roof coating installation, TPO roof installation, and dry rot repair. Micah was very polite and punctual in the presentation of his quote. He offered an alternative that we were not originally considering, which helped in the final choice of a contractor. The rough estimate for the cost of dry rot repair seemed unrealistically low, which did not make me feel very comfortable. I am not a contractor, but I had a rough idea that replacing all fascia boards and other dry rot repair was going to cost more than $1,000 if it was going to be done right. I had about 7 quotes for this project. Their TPO quote was the 2nd highest of the 7 and the most expensive (by almost 80%) than the contractor we went with on the silicone roof coating installation(exact same silicone product)."

That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

This is the third time Jerry has done repairs for my house.  He is always professional, prepared, and personable. When I called, since it wasn't a crisis, he came as soon as he had an opening.   He came and assessed my old hot water heater, determined it needed to be replaced (it was 15 years old).He explained the problems and options to me. He installed a new one, changing some of the old plumbing to meet current requirements, and as always, cleaned up.
