"I called Steve and he said he would be there the next day.  I told him an a/c guy  I knew came and put freon in it, and within 24 hours it wouldn't cool.  Steve asked me did he check for leaks, and I said no I don't think so.  He said, that is the first  he should have done was find out where it was leaking the freon.  My air conditioner is old, but I told him I couldn't afford to replace it right now, so he found the leak and stopped the leak and it has worked great on every warm day we have had.  
Steve is the most honest, kindest gentleman you could ever want to meet.  He was very sympathetic with me and didn't try to insist that it wasn't worth fixing and try to tell me I needed a new one.
I would highly recommend this company.  This day and time, so many people sell you things that you don't even need or try to convince you to replace the unit with another one.  This company listened to me and fixed my problem and did it at a very reasonable cost.  
I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my family and friends.

"The first crew that came out removed the old (and poorly designed and installed) ductwork. In doing so, they made additional problems for the installers later on by removing the boots from the registers. However, they were very friendly and professional, and were very careful ot to damage walls when carrying these big sections of ductwork out of the house. The installers, Freddy and Wayne, were top notch: They really knew their stuff, and they were hard workers. They were also a pleasure to have around the house because they were so kind and respectful. (One small complaint: Freddy and Wayne never wore the booties to cover their shoes when coming and going from outside; all other JHA personnel did.) The electrician and carpenter that came also did superior work. Though the work took longer than expected (largely due to errors in the tear-out phase), the price remained as quoted. Now our upstairs has been adequately and evenly cool since then, a first in four years in the house. Well done, fellas!"

"I am very satisfied with the piping work that was done. That was the work they were contracted to do. The installation seems very professional and they did it faster than I had expected, and at a lower cost than quoted. While they did inform me that they had removed some clog material from the old pipe, it was within 1 week following the job that my bathtub drain was completely stopped up. I hired Roto Rooter to clear the drain and they said that I should have had a clean-out line put in while the new piping was being installed. American Tech did not inform me of that so I took one star off for that omission."
