"Marshall was out before and replaced a water pressure sensor. The outside spigot started making a noise when turned on. He responded quickly and answered all our questions concerning the noise from the outside water spigot. He was professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend his service."

"Not sure who is writing 5 star reviews for BOAZ construction as our home renovation experience was very different. Ran over by 12 months, piers were missing in the crawl space, lots of mistakes, just ripped out the shower they installed because the liner was installed wrong and leaked, David nor Stan really care. They are content with delivering subpar work and subpar subcontractors. None of our home's interior doors or exterior doors not installed by ClarkHall stay when open. Every single one is a ghost door. Our home renovation was/is the joke of the neighborhood due to the amount of time it took and our ongoing issues. Feel free to contact me for additional information: noelsimons1970@hotmail.com"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Matthews, NC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
