"I had a mixed experience with Douglas. The curtain rods were not hung straight. No tools were used such as a stud finder or measurement tool. The wall-affixed garden hose was drilled in the wrong place and a second hole needed to be made into the side of my home. Caulking was used to fill the hole but damage was done. I recommend getting an in-person estimate from Douglas for your repairs. Fee $400 covered book shelf reinforcement, hang 4 curtain rods, hang 3 large frames, affix 2 retractable garden hoses to sides of home."

"We have been serviced by WECare for many years. They have replaced an old AC/Heating system, recommended and installed additional features and have provided yearly inspections for us. Each time we have been serviced by them the experience has been top class. We would recommend WECare for AC/Heating service."

"I called Patrick Stone ("The Door Doctor") on Tuesday morning 5/26/2015 and left a message inquiring about repairing my front entry door. Pat returned the call that afternoon and came to look at the problem (interference between the door and threshold). He said a bottom metal strip on the door was damaged and would have to be replaced. We made a repair appointment for Monday 6/1. On Sunday 5/31 I sent him an email advising that I had some other door repair tasks in addition to the entry door. Pat called back that afternoon to indicate he did not have the required repair part for my entry door and he would have to purchase it Monday morning, so he expected to be several hours late. I agreed and said it wasn't a problem. He arrived at 1030 and immediately started work. The repair involved removing the door, removing the old metal strip nailed to the bottom of the door, installing the new strip and remounting the door. Pat had it finished in a half hour. The problem was solved and the door fit perfectly, but the deadbolt lock would not close. The original alignment was marginal, and the repaired door (which was aligned with the door frame) was now out of alignment with the lock strike plate. Pat reamed out the strike plate a small amount and the door and lock now work perfectly. <br /> I also asked Pat to repair a bifold door guide. I had purchased a replacement part but the door had a metal mounting bracket which Pat had to remove in order to use the replacement part. He successfully completed that repair in about 20 minutes and the bifold door now works perfectly. <br /> I also asked Pat if he could repair a sliding screen door which was missing a top roller. He said he couldn't repair those as the roller was not replaceable. I suspected as much but thought it didn't hurt to ask. <br /> Pat did an excellent job of cleaning up the job site, and charged $235 for labor and the entry door part. <br /> Pat is a conscientious and knowledgeable tradesman, and I would certainly hire him again if the need arose. <br />"

"Rob arranged to come out or have his staff come out quickly. They were professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. They resolved both issues immediately, and at a very reasonable price. Rob approaches the job by identifying the root cause of the problem and fixing it so that the problems I experienced did not reoccur."

"We had a complete interior remodel of several rooms, including the kitchen, master bath, guest bath, master closet, laundry room, and some less extensive remodeling in other rooms. All of the flooring was replaced, cabinets, walls removed or moved, a steel beam installed so weight-bearing walls could be removed, installation of new appliances, fixtures, new windows, electrical work, plumbing, drywall, painting and more. This was NOT a handyman job. Since the completed remodel we have enjoyed our home. It's stunning! Previously it was nice-enough but outdated, and now it is modern and fantastic. If I had wanted a quick and cheap job, I would have chosen someone else. I am very happy with the work that was done, and my interactions with the team. I trust Concept Renovations to do any job on this house. They are knowledgeable, responsive, attentive, personable, and pleasant. Most of all they have a great vision and no detail was left un-finished so I'm really glad they took the time and energy to take care of us."

"<p>Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.  </p> <br />"

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Mecca, CA

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
