"Chris from Acme was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He quickly determined that there was no problem with my septic system’s drainage field, which I was concerned about. I will call them in the future when I need any maintenance for the system."

"This family owned and operated company went way beyond what customer service and expertise I had expected to replace my old failed septic tank. They explained all steps they needed to bring my old system up to code. They stayed in contact with me almost daily and took pictures when I was unavailable to be home and see their progress! They even leveled my sloping backyard to make it more aesthetically pleasing and replanted all the grassy areas. After comparing many companies costs, and type of system I'd need for this service, i am very pleased with the quote LED presented to me, the work time to complete the job, and the final results! Thank you LED team! It's nice to see that a true honest work ethic is still in vogue! Thanks Derek and Dad! You all did a great job! I'd highly recommend!"

"Jim knows his "stuff" and was very easy to work with from start to finish! We had another company out prior to Knox and they did about $1,200 worth of work to try and fix the high levels in our septic tank only for it to fail less than two weeks later. We then called Knox and wished that we would have done that from the beginning. Jim diagnosed our septic tank failure in less than 15 minutes by probing all around our yard. He was very up front and honest with us about timelines/costs and he and his team replaced our entire system in less than a week with no surprises along the way! Jim was always available for any questions that popped up before the big dig and his communication throughout was outstanding. We just had our final walkthrough yesterday and my husband and I both have a good understanding of how our new system works, what needs to be done to maintain it, and we also know that if any issues or concerns arise, Knox will be right there to help us through them! Highly recommend this company! Added Bonus: My 5 year old son LOVES construction vehicles and Jim and his crew were so kind and friendly towards him during every encounter. It made getting our entire yard dug up a little bit easier! Thanks guys!"

"The plumber said my backed up pipes were from the septic system needing to be cleaned. Called Max Haas Company and they were able to get someone out the same day. They dug down to the tank top and cleaned the tank. Unfortunately, that didn't solve my plumbing problem but their service was excellent. Would definitely use them again.

"Chris came out to repair our water heater and was sent out by our warranty company. We felt as if he was efficient, honest and thorough when he was doing this job. We knew we also had separate plumbing work that wouldn't be covered under our warranty. We are having a wet bar put in our basement and needed the plumbing work completed for it. He removed drainage and concrete so he could put in a new drain line for a sink, ice maker and dishwasher. He also hooked it up to hot and cold water. Everything he does is according to Indiana plumbing code. This project took a bit longer than he first anticipated and our charges were quite a bit more than what we thought, but it needed to be done and we thought Chris was the right guy for the job. He also brought out another young man with him to assist, I believe he was an intern of some sort. He was also polite and professional. We will use Chris again for any future plumbing needs."

"I started a holiday weekend with my grinder pump alarm sounding. Pump would run but took a very long time to clear the pit, plumber who put the system in was zero help and refused to even come look at it. He suggested calling the company he subcontracted the install to (which I had forgotten) they came and said it wasn't the pump it was fine, appeared to be a blockage in the outgoing lateral to the pressure main. The bad weekend kept getting worse, city came out and said the main was clear and there was noting they could do. They suggested digging up the lateral and replacing it. Packed up the family and went to the in-laws for the rest of the weekend, found J&C who answered my questions and advised over the phone some things to try. Scheduled a service call for monday am (which for many was a holiday), he had car trouble but came out and is the first person that I've had experience with that knew grinder pumps and was able to determine that whatever the blockage was was gone and that there was no need to dig up the yard and driveway, replace the pump and pit etc. Through no fault of James, I had a bad weekend, but he saved the day and so far the system has continued to work without fail."

FAQs for septic system repair projects in Mooresville, IN

Leach field failure can often occur due to a lack of proper maintenance, hydraulic overload, or environmental factors. When too much water enters the septic system—like running multiple large laundry loads back-to-back—it can overwhelm the leach field. Regular professional inspections, ongoing maintenance, and spacing out high-water-use activities help prevent failure.

A septic tank shows repair needs when noticeable symptoms arise around your home. Noticeable signs include strong sewage odors at fixtures, recurring pipe blockages, pooling water or damp patches near the leach field, and areas of unusually bright green or spongy grass. These indicators confirm that deteriorating components or clogs exist. Monitoring such signs and scheduling timely professional inspections prevents further costly damage.

Adhering to a strict, scheduled maintenance plan prevents septic system repairs. An annual inspection and a pump-out every three to five years safeguard your system’s performance. Additionally, only flushing waste and toilet paper, installing drain filters, keeping nonapproved items out of the system, and avoiding excessive water use help maintain your septic system’s health and efficiency.
