Since a crew was running behind, he came himself to do the work late in the afternoon knowing that I needed the vent cleaning that day before we moved in. Ken did an amazingly through job of cleaning and disinfecting, and shared his knowledge about HVAC systems and duct routing the whole time. He analyzed our system capacity, checked the duct routing in the attic, and gave us options for improving our HVAC system in future when the existing equipment is ready for replacement. So not just a simple service - an informed future strategy! Can't say enough about how impressed we were with A Breath of Fresh Aire, we will definitely use their services again."

"Our central air conditioner stopped working on Friday a around 5:30 pm. I called my go-to company (del-air) but they couldn’t come out until Wednesday. I tried getting recommendations from Angi, and while one provider called right away, I missed the call. I called back less than a minute later, but got their vm. No one else reached out until later on Saturday. I did a web search on Saturday morning, and got a company that was willing to come on Sunday…but when they asked if the unit was more than eight years old, and I said yes, they offered to come Saturday evening. I asked why, and they said that since I had an older unit, they didn’t want me to be without air overnight. I asked why it would make a difference...I was going to be without air no matter how old the unit was, they said “that’s just the way we do things.” My wife and I talked and decided they would probably just try to sell us a new unit (based on my research between $6000 and $11,000), so we cancelled the appointment. Later Saturday morning, I texted a friend, and she recommended serviceone. I called, and they first apologized that they wouldn’t be able to come out that day…would the next day (Sunday) be ok, between 11 & 1. I said sure, and thanked them. Their technician came an hour early, was incredibly nice, diagnosed the problem, replaced the breaker and the capacitor, told me the capacitor he installed wasn’t optimum, so was going to come out on Monday to put in a better one, at no extra charge, charged me less than six hundred dollars, and had everything done in 20 minutes. I have no way of knowing if the price he charged was fair, but other than that, this was a perfect experience, and I am grateful."

Our A/C went out at 10pm and I made one phone call to Service Star they diagnosed the issue over the phone and told me what I needed to do in order to have our unit run efficiently overnight. Our coil was leaking and unit was frozen. Since our unit was 10 years old we opted to replace the entire unit including exterior and interior with new WiFi digital thermostat. They walked us through the most energy efficient option for our home. They came out early today and installed the new unit! Talk about SERVICE! WOW! The unit was installed in under 4 hours and my house began cooling instantly. WHAT a difference this unit makes and we are super impressed with how quite it is. We are THRILLED! "Our central A/C stopped working at 2 PM on a Friday. The temperature outside was 95 degrees. We called Westbrook, who said they could have someone to our house?by around 4:30 PM. At 4:30 PM, Roberto from Westbrook arrived. Within 10 seconds of looking at our A/C unit, he spotted the problem. "When I contacted the Appliance Doctor, they setup an appointment quickly and discussed the cost for a service call and how our equipment would be evaluated. Mike was excellent when he arrived, and gave us great advice. He gave us an honest evaluation of our 17 year old fridge and after checking the relay and other items, he advised that it was an compressor and with the age and expense it would not be worth repair. He gave us advise on what to look for when purchasing another one and a couple of possible resources. When I was looking for the replacement, I liked several models and reviewed the online ratings. Then I called Mike with the sales representatives information and he discussed the advantages and problems he had seen with each model. Great advise. If we need help we will call Appliance Doctor first."

"They told me that my vents were dirty and they said there's proof that I had black mold in my air conditioner. I then had somebody else come in and they said there wasn't any black mold. Central Air Service misinformed me but I think they did do the tune-up for my A/C system."
