I called Ben Franklin Plumbing late in the afternoon, and they were here first thing the next morning. They gave me the cost to replace the elements and the cost to install a new Bradford White. This time, it made sense to replace it. They were done by noon with a 3-man team of experts. I checked with three big box stores, and although they were slightly less expensive, it was clear they would give their installers, whom I had no idea of, full responsibility. We called Brummets and he sent guys out there to try and locate the well which they finally did after 3 weeks of digging 5+ holes in our yard and destroying it. Also our realtor had to threaten them twice just to get them to come back and get the job done. The riser pipe wasn't even installed straight because they (eyeballed it). When all was said and done, even with a $2,500 "discount" he still charged us $1,800 OVER any other any other reputable local plumber's HIGHEST quote. Our fault I guess for not getting a quote to begin with from a family friend. When all was said and done he was demanding payment 2 days after the job was finished."
