He went out of his way to return the water heater that he brought which had a couple of small dents in it when he opened the box. He said that he will not install a damaged unit, and promptly went to his supplier and got another one. Both he and his helper were very hard workers, and it was 94 degrees when they did the job. I highly recommend him, and will have him install a new furnace when it needs to be replaced. His pricing was very good as well. You can't beat that combination."

This was about as seamless a kitchen renovation that one could ever hope for.  Dave listened carefully to the goals we wanted to achieve in our kitchen, and was patient with the design adjustments we wanted to incorporate as we considered each version of the design plans.  One cabinet in particular that was added toward the end of the design process was brilliantly conceived on his part--a cabinet to store large items that looked like a lovely piece of dining room furniture, with exterior shelving and drawers. It is a centerpiece in the kitchen.  Dave was careful to preserve important walk ways in our kitchen so as to not create bottlenecks--an important element in this centrally located kitchen.  His advice on style and color of cabinetry was also highly valued in our desire to achieve a cleaner and brighter look, yet one that was still consistent with our 1931 Colonial.

The Brookhaven cabinets are beautiful and well-made.  While they are pricey, Dave was able to steer us to take advantage of a manufacturer's discount.  The selection of hardware that was available without incurring additional cost was completely adequate, and we took advantage of this option.

Installation of the cabinetry was smooth and timely.  We decided to make a last minute change to the placement of our microwave, which necessitated the order of a new drawer.  This took longer than we had hoped, but understood that this was not a Kitchen Center issue, but rather one of the manufacturer, as each items is custom made.  When the drawer arrived, it was without a front--this added more time. 

Once the cabinetry was installed, irregularities were minimal.  Dave and a service that works with him tended to adjusting hinges, covering screw heads, and painting areas that needed to be smoothed. 

Overall, working with the Kitchen Center exceeded our expectations.  Communication and responsiveness were excellent.  They partnered well with our contractor so that there were no glitches or last minute surprises--almost unheard of for a kitchen renovation.  The quality of the design and workmanship has made for a space that we are loving, and our only regret was that we did no redo our kitchen sooner!

"Amazing. Todd was the fourth carpenter we interviewed, all from Angie's List, and we knew immediately he was the one. Unlike the others, you could tell that he was the kind of guy who does what he says; shows up; and does a quality job. He did all that and more and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Todd did more than the projects he was given - he referred the electrician and plumber who also did a wonderful job and having the three of them know one another helped tremendously - as they would communicate scheduling amongst themselves. Todd was also the point person who was there when the granite was installed and found someone to cut and re-size our existing granite. "I could go on and on about the quality of their work. The guys were great. They were professional and very thoughtful especially because there was so much work to be done and we live in a small House. They cleaned up every day after the work day was done. Everyone who visits is amazed at the kitchen. Before United came in, my apartment was the typical 3 family. One long hallway, rooms off the dark hallway, small choppy rooms, dark uninspiring. In the end I have a UNIQUE, highly functional kitchen. A few of the major issues were...I had no permanent washer dryer hook up. They plumbed it and set the electrical. My space was limited for storage before. United built custom cabinets that increased my storage space 100% yet the storage is low profile and does not crowd the space. I wanted unique industrial counters so they opted for poured concrete. LOVE THEM! They go perfectly with my stainless steel appliances. They moved the gas stove which required moving the gas lines to the other side of the kitchen (a new kitchen island). To soften the look of the kitchen United created floating dark wood shelves. They repaired the old wood floors and refinished them. This is only a fraction of the work they did."

"We were very pleased with everything about Wilkins Mechanical. On our initial appointment Mike, explained everything to our satisfaction and didn't rush us or leave before we were thoroughly informed about all aspects of the system and financing.
They installed the air conditioner/heat pump one week later (arrived on time) and it was done in one day (believe me, a massive undertaking). They spread plastic sheets on our carpeted floors and wore and quot;footiesand quot; all the while inside, and they vacuumed the area after drilling holes where needed. Very Clean, left no mess.
The units performed as explained AND they perform even better then expected. Very, very quite, our oil system has not turned on at all, we are heating totally on the heat pump and we are even warmer then before -- setting the temp at 68, the same temp we had the oil furnace set at.
After install the installers didn't leave until we thoroughly understood the remote. They didn't leave us to figure things out for ourselves.
