"After recovering from a horrendous experience with Service Champions (NEVER EVER call them), I got several other quotes to completely replace my old AC system. Brandon and HD had the most competitive quote, great reviews and were very personable and professional. They installed entire new system and did a great job in a timely manner. I highly recommend!"

"I am writing this review after a year because I wanted to test it out and provide an honest review. We replaced our AC unit with a new one with the help of NathanD. He was extremely professional and offered us the best price compared to all the other companies we considered. The installation process only took half a day, and they also installed a Google Nest for us. Additionally, they assisted in fixing our broken circuit board in the garage. Overall, the workmanship was excellent, and NathanD answered all of our questions. He even followed up with us after 2 months to check on our satisfaction. We initially found him through Angie's List."

"The blower motor on my furnace went out. Every company I asked for a quote told me I needed to replace the entire furnace and quoted me thousands of dollars to do so. I hired Cool Air For You and the tech came out the next day and replaced the blower motor in a few hours. The AC and heating works again and I didn't have to spend 4 or 5 figures. Highly recommended."

"We live in a very old house; so, many things break down all the time. I feel like I don't get a break in fixing things... I have had to hire many contractors. That said, I am so glad that I found GC Heating & Cooling Inc. It is hard to find contractors with integrity and compassion, who will do good work, and provide fair pricing. The people at GC Heating & Cooling provide all these things. That is why I would recommend them to everyone I know and will call on them here on out for all our heating and A/C needs. If only they could provide all my other home-fixing services. Heheh... I feel that I can trust them. Both our A/C units broke down in one week. We did not have a budget for repairs/replacement due to financial issues. I did not tolerate the heat due to health reasons; thus, the A/C units really needed to be replaced. Mr. Cano was very understanding of our circumstance and provided options that worked for us. The pricing was very reasonable, unlike many other contractors who really inflate the price, by thousands!! We were able to schedule work to be done right away, without delay. We chose the Ameristar brand for the AC units and the Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat. We've had no issues with the AC units or thermostat, which were installed. Everything works great and our electric bill has gone down considerably. Mr. Cano and his team were punctual, responsive to our needs/concerns, were pleasant & professional, and were tidy with their work. We couldn't be happier with interacting with them and with the outcome. We were so embarrassed and felt bad, when the bank gave us the wrong info and messed up our funds transfer, which caused delay in payment to GC Heating & Cooling Inc. Mr. Cano and Mrs. Melania were so kind and understanding. We really appreciated it. Given how well everything went, I really do highly recommend GC Heating & Cooling Inc."

"Nick returned calls promptly and arrived on time.  I asked him to text me when he was on his way, and he did.  He was nice to work with and explained our options along the way.   He initially came to our house on 4:30 on a Monday.  Then he came back Tuesday with the first necessary part.  He then ordered the new furnace and installed it on Sunday, which was perfect for us, since we didn't have to take time off from work.  The replacement went smoothly.

"We moved to our home few months ago and had to replace the HVAC system. The AC Company had to go inside the attic and they noticed a problem with the insulation there. We asked around some friends and family members and we came across Attic Masters. From the other 3 companies that we spoke and met with, Adam was the most polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Their price was also cheaper than the rest so we scheduled them to come and do the job. Our referral was absolutely correct! They were an amazing crew! They didn't just replace the insulation. The last owners of the home had rats problem in the attic which caused a bigger problem than we thought and we had to secure not only the house but also the insulation. Adam's crew took all the old and bad insulation out from the attic and house in a very careful way (inside bags). They sanitized the entire attic and then rat proofed it with special mesh wiring to make sure we would never have this problem again. After this was completed, they laid the new insulation in and even insulated the walls of the attic. I HIGHLY recommend Attic Masters to anyone looking to remove and install insulation."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Newport Coast, CA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
