"I typically get several estimates before any major expense. I do this to gather information as well as compare price and the people behind the websites. Two other companies were recommended to me by friends. Accurate was my third estimate. My previous furnace was installed by Accurate and serviced by Accurate so I was going to check with them before buying a new furnace. Accurate even showed up first thing one winter morning when the furnace didn't turn on. 



Each estimate said something a little different about which furnace to buy and how it should be installed. Derek from Accurate showed up on time and appeared to know the product and the installation requirements - including the expectations of the local building inspector. The building inspector has to approve the installation when it is finished. I honestly don't know if I chose the right furnace by purchasing a TRANE. I didn't want the most expensive model and I wasn't pressured to buy it. I did buy the pricey air  filter since a family member has allergies. 



The installation process went very smoothly. The man who spent all day doing the installation was low-key, friendly, and appeared to be doing a careful job. E.g., he didn't talk on his cell or blare a radio. Accurate arranged for the plumber to do the gas line hook up and the electrician to connect the new furnace and install a CO2 alarm. The plumber returned at a later date to show the finished job to the building inspector.



 It took a lot of time to learn about the new high efficiency furnaces, talk to friends about how they managed home heating issues, and then meet with contractors. Since it's such an expensive and long-term purchase, it's a tough decision. I decided to stay with Accurate based on past experience and I think it was the right call.

"The response was great. We had new tenants moving into an apartment and needed the outlets changed to gfci outlets. 
The first outlet went fine but the second one was causing problems so therefore took a longer time to do. 
The new light fixture over the sink did not work so they took it out. Since we did not have another light fixture to put in we were left without a fixture and had to address that later. 
The deal we purchased was for $150 for $250 worth of work. 
Since it took additional time to address the new gfci outlet and the light fixture not working it ended up costing more then the $150 deal.

"Jim did a great job. He quickly assessed the problem and then took our unit with him to work on it more. When he got back to us, the fix would have cost more than it was worth. He gave us options for a new or refurbished PC. We felt the refurbished was a good deal and chose that. He came back and set that up and we are very happy with it. He then took a look at my laptop and again took it along. He tuned it up and installed a speed upgrade we wanted. Of course, we paid extra for the new unit and upgrades, but we thought the price was very fair. Jim seemed very knowledgeable and responsive. We will definitely call him again if we need any computer services."

"I didn't have quite the same experience as most reviewers so perhaps I'mjust an outlier.
This was the first time I'd worked with a contractor and I don't know if my expectations were too high or what. Ed is a very nice guy but the job was done very sloppily and I felt as if I had to keep after him and check on every little thing. I had to really push him to use primer to paint a light grey over a dark brown which I thought would have been a given. I have bright colors in my bathrooms and he didn't tape things off to keep edges clean. I thought I'd seen all the messy places and was getting used to them but just yesterday I noticed in the mirror that the side of the white bathroom door moulding is covered in teal paint, and not just a smidge, it's like no effort was taken to be neat. The pink in one bathroom took more than 2 coats to cover adequately and when I saw how bad it looked he just said it was already 2 coats so I had to specifically ask him to paint another coat and as many coats as was necessary to make it look good. I didn't think I should have to do that. I've taken awhile to write my review b/c I wanted to wait and see how much things bothered me after living with them for awhile and also after having dealt with other contractors. 
He laid out drop clothes but they didn't seem to help. He got pink paint on my beige carpeting and grey paint on my carpeted stairs. When I pointed it out he said he'd take care of it but really he just picked at the carpet to create a fuzz that might camoflauge it which worked for a day or two and then I saw it again. The carpets were cleaned after he painted and they were not able to get the paint stains out. Additionally, paint was left on the cabinet handles (cabinets weren't painted, just the backsplash) and on the counter. He didn't tape anything off which I think contributed to the sloppiness of the final product. 
I'm sitting at my desk right now and see a spot on the wall that was totally missed. He painted the outlets so they'd blend in which was great but he painted them shut. The little buttons on the special bathroom outlets are still painted so they can't be pushed and I have to dig them out. 
Overall, when someone walks into my place, do they see all these things? For the most part, no so it's not like it turned out horribly and I had to re-do it all but I think it basically comes down to getting what you paid for. Ed's bid was significantly lower than the other 2 I got. (Those other 2 were virtually the same.) Being that I was incurring all the expenses of moving into a new place I chose NSPP but in hindsight I think it might have been worth it to go with a more expensive, professional painter. 
He did say that he'd come back and fix anything I wanted but at this point it's just not worth it as I find things here and there. I have extra paint and can do the fixes myself. It's just that every time I do I just feel like I shouldn't have to be doing this so soon after paying to have the work done. 
Ed is a nice guy so if you do choose to go w/ NSPP I would just suggest discussing sloppiness up front and checking on everything after each day.
