"I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. I highly recommend Bluestar for their reliable service and Isaac’s thorough and knowledgeable work."

"When I initially called they were nice enough to tell me if I could wait until tomorrow they wouldn't have to charge me the emergency fee & would save me some money. This trend carried through the service and I much appreciated it. When the plumber (Matt) got there he tried everything he could to clear the line. He tried to not remove the toilet (to save us some $) but the tool he had was too small. He tried the larger tool but it was too big. He informed us that he would have to come back the next day with the medium sized tool.  When he came back the next day he fixed the issue we were having and in addition, looked at some broken plumbing under the bathroom sink.  Matt was friendly, courteous and on-time. Unfortunately I wasn't home when he came either day but he was in contact with me via phone and my dad, who was at the house for us, couldn't stop talking about what a nice guy he was. Hopefully we won't need to, but we would definitely use them again!

"We returned from vacation on a Saturday night to find out that our A/C system had died on us while we were gone. I put in a quote request with JDL and someone contacted me within about 30 seconds of my request. A tech was able to come out on Sunday to assess the situation. Ire was extremely courteous and professional, explaining everything along the way. One minor problem was that we needed a new motor (which died while Ire was here) and they had to order the part, which he said they would do first thing Monday morning. While they did, it was going to be another day before it arrived. I asked if there was something that could done, but unfortunately they needed to wait for the part to arrive. A bit later, Ire called me back to say that they were going to drive way out of the way to pick up the part and get someone to our house later that day, avoiding both a large overnight shipping fee and another brutally hot night in our house. Isak showed up and was courteous and professional as well. He explained the work and explained that our system was working, however inefficiently. He explained how we could fix the issue, and laid out the costs for us. We had to decline as it was out of our budget, which Isak completely understood. I'm not sure about other reviews, but at no time did I feel pressured into buying a product or doing something unneeded. I really appreciate the work they did, their customer service approach, and their overall knowledge and professionalism. We are likely to hire them back based on this service."

"Everything went well!  They did accidentally bring the wrong equipment at first because of a paperwork mixup at the home office, but they corrected it quickly and even upgraded my outdoor heat pump unit as compensation for the mistake.  That did cause them to have to drive to the Lennox distribution center and back, setting the install completion back a couple of hours.  I guess for that I have to knock them on "quality".
But other than that, everything went smoothly.  They were professional and courteous.  They also called back the next day to check on everything and make sure that everything was satisfactory and to apologize for the mixup.

"Contacted Total Comfort as soon as we realized our unit had stopped blowing cold. Unfortunately it was in the evening and after hours (isn't that always the way). Received a call back from an on-call technician within just a few minutes. I explained what was going on and he was more than willing to jump in is truck and head over but was very straight forward and explained that he could diagnose but there was always a possibility he may not have the parts needed that night. I hadn't considered that and was appreciative of his candor. Thunder storm rolling (thankfully) so I knew the temps were going to drop for the evening and told the tech I'd push the service call until the next day. He asked that I contact the office first thing to get on the schedule. Next morning I received a call from Total Comfort before I could call them and they scheduled a tech to come out between 1pm and 4pm that afternoon. A little before 1pm, the tech "Alex R" called to let us know he was on his way. Yes, that's correct. They set a service window between 1pm and 4pm and they actually showed up at the beginning of the quoted service window not and hour or two after it (which seems more the norm for service contractors). Skipping ahead to the most important part... Alex was awesome. Not just punctual but extremely polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He diagnosed the problem, offered the solution, answered our questions, asked for authorization before proceeding and didn't try to up-sell. That's the support a homeowner expects. "Hired this company to look at A/C last year and it went well. Did the same with the gas heater. Tech recommended certain item to watch for. No high pressure sales or bogus repair requests. Cleaned the system and inspected. Offered several ideas for replacement and repairs based on findings. Sila gives you a list of what they suggest on the cheap vs full replacement which is great in case you don't have money to replace everything. I also use them because they have serviced other houses in the area and are familiar with the models used during construction years ago."

"Fantastic! We have a Sears Home Warranty. After three service calls through Sears to fix our upstairs A/C (and several cancelled and no-show appointments) we hired Clover who came out the next day and repaired the A/C. They were prompt, efficient, did a great job. They revealed that the last time Sears came out to "fix" our A/C, Sears had the thermostat turned to the hottest temperature on full blast.
