"I currently own a rental property in Michigan. I often find it difficult to provide quality maintenance from afar, I live in Florida. "We had a new kitchen sink drain line installed to accommodate a deep under mount sink, as well as a 75-gallon power-vent water heater and new drain lines under a laundry sink. The Great: Tom Hedlund, whom I spoke to a few times in advance to our service, was very responsive and helpful. I also can't speak highly enough about the plumbers who came out and completed the service. Adam and Donnie were everything one would hope for from service providers: Timely, courteous, friendly, worked efficiently, did quality, neat work and tested it upon completion, provided useful information, and cleaned up when they were done. My husband and I are pretty particular, and we feel confident that they did a great job! The Could-Be-Better: Our first interaction with Hedlund was a different pair of their plumbers who came out to provide an estimate on work. We did this because we didn't want any surprises in terms of expense, or the extent of work. The plumbers who came out for the estimate were friendly, but apparently not good at details. Most of the information they provided was wrong, including the fact that 1) our drain lines didn't need re-routing (despite my questioning them on that); and 2) that our water heater is natural gas (in fact, it is LP, but they never asked and never noted it). The only reason we didn't have a couple of nasty surprises on the service day is because I questioned these two items beforehand, so was able to resolve the details over the phone, and they were able to change the water heater order before it was too late. In summary, the work we received from Hedlund was excellent, but the guys who provided an estimate need to work on their attention to detail."

"I think they are on Angie's List.  I've got branches everywhere.  They did the energy survey to save us some money.  They were telling me about where we would have heat loss and they found few small gas leaks.  They work in collaboration with the program of New York State which was really how we got them.  I was interested in what they were offering so I didn't feel the pressure to put up on them.  They came to my house and did their survey.  They did all the paper work that was needed for New York State.  New York State gives $400 reimbursement for the survey process, for whatever cost the survey would be and the work that they performed.  I guess the state's pushing for people to become more energy efficient so this was part of that program and then the state's also do random survey's in comeback to make sure that the company did exactly what they said they did and that the savings were there.  They were good.  Before finishing it, it was almost like a month back and I think there were some internal problems with the company.  Whatever it was that they were going through but they came back and finished it.  I think they were neat.  They did insulation around the top of the foundation in the basement, in the attic.  There are a certain things that New York State require and they did all those and they said that new York state would come around and randomly sample to see if the work was done.  I have no problems.  I've got the gas leak fixed, I've got water heater fixed and also the insulation.  The bottom-line is it took a little longer but it all worked out.  They were always reachable.  They had no problem explaining things.  They made accommodations."

"I liked the tech that stopped by and provide the quote for the natural gas fired Power Vent water heater replacement. I know they would do a good job on the water heater. They install Bradford White which is a very good water heater. Since it was not the same model and physical size as the currently installed unit, some small modifications would be needed. I went with a smaller local plumber who would install the same AO Smith physical size unit (no modifications needed) and his quote was about $250 less."
