"First off I didn’t expect the expediency at which this happened. In the span of 2 days from the time I talked to Chris the old stoop and about 14 feet of thick concrete was removed and the block stoop was repaired and they actually buttered the block to match the foundation of our house. He added a extra step at no charge and and did some beautiful design and trim work to the sidewalk. This is basically a family owned business with family members as his crew. Chris was there the whole time not only supervising but was running the wheel barrel full of concrete up a muddy hill. If I could give him and his crew a higher grade than A I would. If you need concrete work done you couldn’t do better then him and his crew. He put up with me outside watching and asking questions ( I’m fascinated by tradesmen) the whole time they were working. Last but not least this was done at a substantial cost savings compared to other contractors I had look at this. I know this review is long winded but I think in today’s world people and companies that provide this type of exemplary service need to be recognized and promoted. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
