"I highly recommend Mitchell for any plumbing that needs to be done for anybody. He is honest, Also, very neat. And he shows a lot of pride in his work, and I am 73 years old, I have seen a lot of plumbers, some. I will never recommend like daigo plumbing. Stay away from him. But Mitch is number one and I respect everything that he's done for me today. Great worker. On time and takes a lot of pride in his work. I'm very happy to have him here today. He was godsend to me, so thank you, Mitch. I will recommend you to anybody of my friends, our family or anyone that calls on a plumber. Your name will come up and that's a guaranteed. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Not only was Richard punctual, he was also a pleasure to work with --- quite the professional and truly knowledgeable about his craft.  He was honest about what would be required to do the installation on a 100-year old house and completed the job for a reasonable price.  I recommend NE Renovations --- Richard F and his team.  I will be contacting them for additional home repair service in the future."

"Started job February 18, completed March 27, 2012.  Took longer than expected through no fault of company.  They were very concerned that it was taking longer than estimated.  We were not ready for them so we had to wait for certain items we wanted. Overall very profession staff/subs, good workmanship, very responsive, helpful, Project Manager made excellent suggestions and offered good advice.  An initial issue was rectified immediately and company was very quick making sure we were satisfied.  Went above and beyond.  Very happy with entire process.  The written estimate was what we paid, anything above that was our responsibility.  This was explained up front and there were no surprises at the end of the job.  Company actually credited us above the allowance for a few items.  Very good experience with this remodel which could have been very stressful because it was a bathroom.  They showed up when they said they would, checked in with me daily and explained schedule for that day and next.   Really worked very hard to make sure we were satisfied.  We are very detailed oriented and I found very little that needed to be touched up or fixed when job was done.  They were very responsive getting the items completed and made sure we were satisfied.  The owner even sat with us to go over all our questions and concerns and was very helpful and knew exactly what I was trying to explain,  he really worked with us on the whole design and process.   Very good experience with this company. I do recommend that anyone having a bathroom remodeled should pick out all their fixtures, faucets, cabinets, flooring, counter tops, etc. before the job starts.  It will go much faster and will much easier on the contractor making sure everything fits.  Have everything available as the contractor needs it.  Also I recommend that you remove anything from the area that you don't want to get dusty and cover your floors and carpeting with plastic.  The company did try to keep things clean and contained but it was difficult in a small space.  They did a pretty good job cleaning up each evening before leaving."

FAQs for water heater repair or service projects in Peterborough, NH

Warning signs include fluctuating water temperatures, a pilot light that repeatedly goes out, unusual noises from the tank, or complete heating failure. You might also detect a rotten egg smell, indicating a potential gas leak, or notice water that never reaches the proper temperature. If your water heater is over eight years old and displaying these symptoms, the gas valve is a likely culprit. Professional inspection is recommended, especially if gas odors are present.

Water heater gas valves are not universally interchangeable. Each valve must match your specific water heater's make, model, and specifications. Important compatibility factors include gas type (natural gas vs. propane), BTU rating, connection types, and physical dimensions. Using an incorrect valve can result in poor performance, premature failure, or dangerous gas leaks. Always consult your water heater's documentation or a professional plumber to identify the appropriate replacement valve for your unit.
