"Demayo tile was incredible. I prior had a very bad experience with another contractor and I needed someone reliable to fix our bathroom. Mike and his team were extremely professional, responsive and did an excellent job. They went above and beyond to redo our plumbing and helped us obtain the correct products needed for our project. The tile looks incredible. They were also very clean and removed all tile, dust etc. We are beyond thrilled to have found Demayo tile and look forward to using them in the future if needed for additional projects. We highly recommend for your home!!"

"I was very satisfied with the carpet cleaning!! The couple was very friendly and efficient. My carpets are fresh looking (first time they've been professionally cleaned in 7 years) and stain free. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely hire them again!"

"I'm a big believer in shopping local and using local contractors whenever possible. So I was thrilled to find a guy with an A rating and 125 mostly excellent reviews who lived five minutes away! I'm so happy with the job John did cleaning, re-grouting, and sealing our shower floor--it looks brand new! He also replaced a well-worn drain cover at the completion of the project. He was hard to pin down to start the job--but usually that's what happens when people are good at what they do and their services are in demand! The price was fair, and the work was completed in less than a day! I'd use him again for tile work and recommend his services to others."

"DM Cleaning had good intention, but was unable to deliver as promised. Staff was energetic, prompt and enthusiastic. DM did a great job in addressing break in dryer air duck. DM was unable to clean our hardwood floors. We eventually did our own research (called the wood manufacturer) to identify the proper guidancein how to clean the floors. Area rugs were cleaned off premise and returned damp/wet. We were unable to place them back on our hardwood floors and had to place them in our garage to dry out. Note, not all area rugs were cleaned as promised. DM did not properly cleanup after the air ducts were cleaned, we had to go to several rooms and clean up some of the debris left from the vents. There was considerable confusion over what was paid for versus what was delivered. We had high hopes in working with DM Cleaning, but where left dissappointed. Good intentions, but short on delivery."

"Love Tile & Marble’s owner, Kevin McCall, is the superman of tile! He truly saved the day. He has a meticulous eye for detail, fantastic customer service, and the quality of his work is second to none. Kevin and his crew turned our nightmare bathroom into the nicest room in our house. From our initial consultation to our handshake goodbye, Kevin was as professional as it gets. At the end of every day Kevin and his crew cleaned up so well you would never know we were under construction. What struck us the most was Kevin's knowledge and skill, and the pride all the guys at Love Tile took in their work. We could not have asked for a better experience and our only regret is that we don't have any more rooms to tile!

We originally hired another company to renovate our bathroom. After 8 grueling weeks of unbridled incompetence, we had what amounted to a junior high shop project. Our original contractors left with the job half done and the bathroom was a total mess. We needed help and needed it bad, so we found Love Tile on Angie’s List and Kevin came out the next day. He clearly knew what he was talking about and his professionalism immediately put us at ease. The estimate he gave us was quite reasonable, too. Kevin brought in a crew to remove the old tile from the floor and walls, reframe the shower stall, and rebuild the walls. He brought in a plumber to help sort out the mess the last crew made as well. Once the old mess was removed Kevin worked his magic tiling the shower stall with ceramic tile and a glass mosaic border and marble shelves, as well as the bathroom floor. We are so thrilled with the outcome and love our beautiful new bathroom!

So I went to P.R Flooring, which is next door to my job, and told him I needed a new floor installed. A week later his workers came and installed the floor. They did a great job and It looks absolutely beautiful. My neighbor came in to see the floor and the first thing he said was *Wow!*. He loved it. Family and friends loved . "Removed old shower pan that was leaking and installed new one with tile. The tile looks great but they did a poor job of housekeeping at end of job and also didn't cover up tile holes when they re-installed our shower door. When I complained about this I was assured it was an easy fix and that they'd come back to cover 'next week', but that was in February and I haven't heard from them since. I guess they ran out of garbage bags and tried to fit all debris (~200 lbs) into 1 garbage bag that was then drug across my porch, yard, and driveway, scraping all up in the process. The garbage company wouldn't take since it was too heavy to lift, and I ended up needing to transfer to 4 contractor bags to make lift able. I was very happy with crew through the first few days but left on a bad note and also didn't get a professional follow-up when Ralph said he'd fix the holes."

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Philadelphia, PA

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
