Frank came to the house, diagnosed the issue, didn't try to upsell me with things I didn't need. He told me he thought he could have a new AC unit to install on Friday and they are here, on Friday, installing my new AC unit. Everyone at Old Skool is professional and courteous. The price was competitive and not only will I use Old Skool again, but I will recommend them to others. You won't go wrong with Old Skool!"

"Two technicians arrived promptly and immediately started the analysis to determine what the problem(s) was. They determined, first, that the outside fan motor had failed. They obtained a replacement motor, installed it, and further determined there is an apparent leak in the system. They put refrigerant into the unit to bring it up to required operating parameters. They were willing to pressure-check the system to find the leak, however, I told them to wait. The unit has a history of a slow leak. Three previous leak tests by the original installer of the unit failed to find it. I prefer to wait until milder weather arrives to get still another leak test performed. These technicians were capable, courteous and fast. They did the work in less than 4 hours which included a 30-mile round trip to get the replacement motor, All of this was done in 14 degree F weather."

"I have used Nelson for years now. He installed my Heat Pump / AC unit years ago. He and his son were professional, clean and did an outstanding job. The inspector who came to look at it was so impressed he asked me who did the work. "Energy Star came out to do two things for us which is installing a new Smart T and balancing the duct system in our house. For the smart thermostat, they absolutely nailed it. They did it right, had no questions or hesitation (unlike some other people who tried to quote it), and programmed it correctly. For balancing the duct system though, they did it very quickly and honestly, it was not as thorough as I was hoping it would be. I was hoping they would help me reach some ducts I had difficulty reaching or identifying some ducts I could not identify. Instead, it really felt like a case of me telling them what I knew where each duct went, and if they can easily pull the lever they did -- but that is something I could have done for free myself. So between the two cases, I would call it 50-50 success."
