"Estes is always very professional, considerate, and thorough. They have been my inspectors bi-annually for years, and managed my furnace/AC installation when my original system finally keeled over. It was July, terrible heat, and they were quick and wonderful."

"We hired CoolRay, about 10 years ago in another home, and had exceptional service. Needing and trusting only CoolRay, we scheduled for a looksy for our current home and found that the coils and condensers were shot (only 7 yrs young). We went ahead and purchased new units, they installed next day with AWESOME techs, and all is perfect. I have recommended them to friends, also having exceptional service, and will continue to. Call Joshua B. (770) 421-8400. °Great custy service °the Install techs were respectful of our home, professional and friendly, really cared about what they were doing, and I loved their laughs? °the Product was changed last minute, but they stand behind them for replacement, servicing, exchanges which are included in our contract. (They will service twice a year to make sure everything is running perfectly or make it perfect) °Overall, I highly recommend them!"

"Installer was professional and efficient. Will be calling again next time heating/air work is needed."

"called several companies on 6/23/2014 , and Moncrief was the first one that could send someone out "as soon as possible in the afternoon". Not an issue since that was the response from every other company.
Technician arrived on time, was very professional and quickly found and fixed the problem.  Unfortunately, I didn't  explicitly tell him to review any repairs with me prior to making them.
I was charged a $95 diagnostic fee and $130 to replace a $15 capacitor.  $225 for 45 minutes of labor and $15 of parts. Overall a good experience, but I would not have agreed to $130 service charge for a capacitor replacement.

Update to Provider response 7/1/2014

***DISCLAIMER***
To anyone reading this review.  I AM qualified to change a capacitor, the average user should not attempt to make any repair with a capacitor or any other device of this type as it can cause serious injury and death when done incorrectly.

I have no complaints with the technician, he was competent and professional and did a great job.

In response to your pricing explanation, that's great. I understand. We all need to do what we need to do to cover the cost of doing business. I don't feel like anything was not a fair or honest price.  I don't feel like it's out of line with the market cost.  Bottom line, I don't care. Your overhead of doing business to stay in business is not my problem.  I agreed to pay $95 for a diagnostic fee to find out what was wrong with the unit. I would not have agreed to an additional $130 to replace a capacitor had I been asked before the work was done. Once the work was done, I paid the bill and I'm not asking for a refund or anything else for many of the reasons you outline.

Had I known it was the blower motor capacitor, I would have gladly accepted absorbing the 90 minutes to drive to one of the Industrial Supply stores in Atlanta that I have an account to purchase a new capacitor the next day because I'm cheap like that. The unit had been out for almost 3 days at that point and the other unit was picking up the slack pretty well.

However, I didn't have to drive anywhere or wait for shipping because I ALREADY HAD THE CAPACITOR. I bought it when I had to replace the capacitor on the outside unit 2 years ago and I wanted one on hand when the inside unit went. I also know it wasn't bad out of the box, because I tested the capacitance and discharge in the store with a Fluke 113 multimeter before I took possession of said box. It was located in a drawer less than 15 feet from your tech. Given the opportunity, that's $34 I didn't need to spend.

I would have most likely taken the chance on making the repair myself, as replacing the capacitor is not one of the more difficult tasks involved.  Make sure the power is off at the breaker, do that special thing that must be done to make capacitors safe, disconnect the leads, remove old capacitor, put in new capacitor, reconnect leads and so on.

While I appreciate the time you spent to write this review and the personal note that I received in the mail, I hope this helps you  understand the reason for my dissatisfaction."

"Great. Jerry Cobb came by to reprogram the thermostat for us. We were not able to figure out how to get it the way we wanted and Jerry took care of it for us. Cool Air replaced our entire HVAC system about 2 years ago. We were happy with the job and will be having them add a humidifier to the system soon."

"There was very little work to do. They came out on time and I was happy for the professionalism, but there was nothing to do because it's a brand new system. The service is free for a year. I could have had them come out in April to check the air conditioning system, but since they just installed the unit in April, I didn't bother, but it would have been free. This fall, when I called him to check the furnace, he thought he was coming out to check the air conditioning, I said, "no, you're here to check the furnace because I'm going to be using the heat this fall". He said, "no problem" and he checked that out, he said, "I feel like I'm not doing anything, I can still check the air conditioner", and I said, "if you want to, but I've been running it all summer and it's been great". I asked him there was a charge and he said, "no, the first year was free"."
