"Kenny was on time, professional, and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the issue with my toilet. Completed the repair in under an hour and charged me less than his original online estimate as the job was less involved than originally quoted. I would definitely use him again and highly recommend his services."

"McHugh’s Plumbing saved the day again for a major kitchen drain piping installation to outdoor wall in an older house. McHugh’s Plumbing is the best in the business for basic and the most complex prompt plumbing work at a fair and reasonable price. We have used McHugh’s Plumbing for many years on the complex plumbing problems that can happen with an older house. We have been able to relax on plumbing issues (focus on other things rather than plumbing) because of McHugh’s saving the day with reliable, outstanding, prompt, and efficient results at a fair and reasonable price. McHugh's is a family business where all of their staff have years of experience and expertise on all plumbing issues with outstanding capabilities. They do things the right way every time. For them, the most complex plumbing challenge is basic and routine."

"Earlier today, I woke up to a homeowner nightmare with a freezer that had gone out with food defrosting and hundreds of dollars melting away in front of my eyes. As my husband transferred the contents of the freezer into coolers with ice for interim storage, I called in a panic looking for help. Initially, I was told they were unsure if someone could arrive same day but they would do their best. When I called for an update, they had no one confirmed. I then received a call and technicians were en route. Two men arrived and efficiently and professionally addressed my problem in short order. I came to find out at the end of the appointment that one of the gentleman was actually the owner who understood our plight and came out himself as there were no additional available workers. I would wholeheartedly recommend this top notch company."

"I hired this company to snake open two drains in two different rental properties, he charged me 500.00 each. I paid him for the first one, the second one was never opened. I was out of town working when this took place, by the time he sent me the invoice the second house tenant called and said that drain was not working since he left. When I complained about the price and the drain's still having issues he got defensive and said I should have been there to approve additional work. And was not professional at all. I have another company come out and correct it, for less then half the cost. Will not be using Pepera again."

"Negative a million stars. Worst contractor experience we have ever had. They only fixed the leaks they caused after we tried to initiate a refund. Our old mini split system upstairs needed to be replaced and we were referred to Blind and Sons. They came out and quoted us a good price and installed the new system the following week. The three weeks that followed were a nightmare. We noticed one of the units dripping down the wall; a tech came back and tightened a connector in the wall. We then noticed a dripping noise in the wall from the same unit; a tech came back again and made a plan to replace the new pump they just installed. Meanwhile our baseboards were now warped and untold water damage in our walls. Then we noticed a puddle by the other unit, a dripping noise in another wall and more water damage; another tech visit where they scheduled a follow up installer visit. The installer never showed up. They rescheduled for the next day (Friday), then cancelled and offered to call u"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Ravenna, OH

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
