"Gerald from Reddi came out same-day when we had a gas leak that required our natural gas to be shutoff. He spent over 30 minutes explaining all of the options available to me - where to route the new pipe, what to consider about replacing the water heater, etc. He took the time to answer my questions and get educated. I got other bids, but so glad we went with Gerald and Reddi. He and Brandon were able to knock out our job in less than a day, and there was a lot of work to be done! They worked hard and had great attitudes. We passed our city inspection with flying colors and are so grateful for the Reddi team that made this process a little less painful. Definitely recommend them and Gerald!"

"Plumber Scottin McCabe of George Brazil Home Services performed the repairs as listed above. He did a full inspection of the plumbing in my old house and made several recommendations. He took the time to carefully explain everything he was doing and why. When he finished replacing my hot water heater drainage port he showed me the old part, corroded and full of sediment. Most remarkably, he spotted the problem of excessively high water pressure...something no plumber in twenty years had brought to my attention. Before he installed the valve he showed me the reading on the gauge he used to measure the pressure. He even took time to caulk a bathtub to prevent water damage. Everything he did was done with the highest level of professionalism. Mr. McCabe worked neatly and quickly, obviously knowledgeable about plumbing. I would not hesitate to recommend  him, and, indeed, plan to call on him in the future."

"We needed to relocate a gas mainline and meter to allow for us to build a pool in our yard. This project required work to be completed by both SW Gas (Responsible for the mainline running through our back yard and the meter) and a plumber who could re-plumb our interior gas line to hook up to the new meter location. This was no simple task. Coordinating between SW Gas, their third-party contractor, our plumber, and the City of Tempe for permits and inspections seemed like a recipe for a construction nightmare. Let me say thank goodness for Phend Plumbing! I'm so glad I was working with Phend through this process. First, Mike was a fantastic plumber to work with. He was always punctual, very professional, and passionate about his work. Because of the complexity of the job, I ended up contacting the office a few dozen times. Both Myka and Laurel (Sorry if I'm spelling your names wrong) were fantastic to work with! They were super friendly and always quick to act whenever an issue came up. To say there were no issues with the job would be a lie. There were TONS of problems, and they were always caused by the City of Tempe, SW Gas, or their contractor. Thankfully, we had Phend to solve the issues. Oh, and anyone wondering about price. Here is the best part! Because of the size of the project, we obtained three bids. Phend was the most professional bid and provided us with the best rate. I don't typically write reviews, but Phend went so far beyond my expectations it would be negligent for me not to. Phend will be my go-to plumber, and I strongly encourage anyone seeking a plumber to reach out to them for a bid. You won't be disappointed!"

"I was quoted $150 an hour for 2 people to come do the work. Only one showed up yet he charged me $125 an hour and acted like he was doing me a favor. He said the other worker was just a helper. He couldn’t hook up one of the faucets because of the angle of the pipes but my handyman was able to do it with a flexible pipe without any problem."

"We had a in slab plumbing leak in our 22 year old one story 1300sq/ft house. The leak was verified and located by an independent leak testing company (CPL) before I called for repair bids (which I recommend.) Our best option was a whole hose re-pipe of the hot water pipes. I live in Carmel Mountain Ranch and most of the neighbors have either gone though a re-pipe or expect to soon. From the testing we knew that we had in-slab T’s as opposed to exposed manifolds. This meant that our options to limit the repairs to one section were not available and I must re-pipe all the hot water pipes. I called three companies who all provided separate bids from $3000 to $5000. When I called Just Plumbing I originally left a message with my number, then Ernie called back later that evening and we discussed the situation. He stated he would not be available for a quote until the next evening unless it was really an emergency. I told him I could wait. When he arrived as agreed he performed a very thorough estimate with his worker, they climbed up in the attic and located the approximate path of where he would run the re-pipe. We discussed the layout of the existing pipe, the location of the leak and the situation at hand. He provided an estimate which was far lower ($1000-$2000 less) than other companies who I had bid the job. As a side note he originally quoted to use Type M but I inquired about using a better quality and he offered to upgrade to type L for the actual additional cost (about $100 more) of the copper. He was very accommodating when it came to working around my schedule when he needed. They were courteous and polite. Ernie was very interested to be sure things were done right the first time. He was very detailed and willing to discuss our options. Basically he showed up on time as expected with parts from his supply house on hand. It ended up taking about a half day longer than expected but my house has crazy walls with soffits and a access wall which had a decorative finish he could not cut through making certain areas take much longer. Although it took him and his other two guys about 5+ hours longer to complete, he did not charge me anything additional and honored his original quote. Frankly I think he under quoted me a bit but he did a great job and for a great price. After talking with him some I realize he is a small company and has been doing plumbing for 30+ years. I wanted to pick a smaller company who would let me do the cleanup, drywall repair and paint to save on the cost, also I believe smaller tradesmen maintains lower overhead and tend to have more competitive prices. Over all I was very pleased and would not hesitate to call him again for any variety of plumbing needs. I will be installing a new gas stove soon and will likely call them back to drop the new gas line required for that project. Well done!"

"In short, it went well, but I paid pretty dearly. I was quoted a price range in the neighborhood of $400 to have a pressure regulator installed at my house. I spoke with the owner Bill on the phone before agreeing to this price, and he explained that a significant portion of the plumbing in front of my house would be reconfigured to accommodate the new pressure regulator. He said that the cost would be pretty much all labor. When Dustin showed up, he managed to install the pressure regulator without otherwise changing anything about the configuration of my plumbing. He left with a $425 payment a mere 30 minutes after showing up. I won't necessarily recommend against doing business with these folks, but I would suggest that you might ask for an hourly rate instead of a quote to solve an entire problem. I probably would have saved $300 that way."

"I found that John, the owner, was very professional and courteous.  With the extensive work that was done there were a few hiccups, but they were addressed immediately and taken care of promptly, even on a weekend.  Jason was our plumber in charge of the project and performed most of the work.  He is very knowledgeable and courteous.  He lets you know when something is not right and how he would fix it, but does not pressure you to authorize the work.  When something of this magnitude happens in your home it is not easy and it is very messy.  The dust and dirt involved in jack hammering the foundation of your bathroom and cement sawing through areas of the home to expose the plumbling is crazy.  J&H did try to cover my carpets, etc, but it was a bit overwhelming to have all that mess to clean up.  Overall I was very pleased with the work completed on my home and feel confident that I will not have any sewer problems again.  I have 2 new beautiful bathrooms and my home is starting to get back to normal. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Red Rock, AZ

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
