"This is a great company that I will definitely hire again! I had a list of random small and one large projects I wanted to get done around my home and Scott happily checked them off for me. Including taking down a large tree in my front yard, adding new bathroom window trim, installing recessed kitchen lighting, plumbing water to the refrigerator, and a complete over-haul to turn my standard garage into a fun extended living space. Garage included insulation and drywalling the attic area and the walls, and a new concrete floor. The only thing Scott didn't do was replace the garage doors. But he advised and talked with the installers I hired for that work. Scott was great at going through each project, asking and listening to what I wanted, and then describing what each project would entail and the plan to complete each one. Darkstar Construction is an incredible company and Scott is very easy going and a delight to work with! I highly recommend them to anyone needing literally anything done around their home or yard!"

"Perfectly. On time, efficient, proactive with suggestions for door, affordable."

"We hired Fine Finish (Mark) to design and build a 2-car attached garage with partially finished space overhead, including a small finished office.
It's hard to list all the ways Mark and Travis went above and beyond during our garage addition project. First, they worked through some of the worst weather an Oregon winter has to offer. While most of Portland was crippled due to flooding, Mark and Travis were hauling shingles up a 2-story ladder and installing our roof. When they were planning the gutter installation, they noticed that our existing gutters were still full of oak leaves. So they cleaned the gutters. They were especially patient with our 18 month-old son, who affectionately referred to them as the ?guys? and took a keen interest in everything they did.
Mark anticipated future design aspects that we hadn?t thought of like leaving space and wiring in the garage for a central HVAC
system. He asked insightful questions about future plans to make sure our money was spent wisely, now and in the future. Even during the design phase, Mark was very transparent about different cost-saving options and associated tradeoffs.
We expected that once the work started, we would mostly be dealing with subcontractors. To our surprise, only the foundation work, gutters, and garage door installation were sub-contracted. Mark and Travis did all of the framing and finish work themselves. As a result, the quality of our addition is noticeably superior to that of our original home.
If you want someone to hire an army of people to throw your project together as quickly as possible, look elsewhere. If you want the attention to detail of a craftsman and an honest, no-nonsense interaction with someone who takes pride in his work and has your best interests at heart, talk to Mark. We?re glad we did and we?ll definitely be back in the future.

"i purchased a "big deal" a while ago for 3 hours of contractor services and boy, it was an awesome deal. They came in and finished up some things that i just didn't have the time and tools to finish up. They were friendly, fast, and did a great job. I will definitely use them in the future. The deals on Angie's list is a great way to try out a company without it costing too much."

"Went well.  Friendly guys who explained all the work.  Happy with outcome.

"Awesome! They are fast and easy to work with, and make the projects fun! My floors look amazing! Highly recommend!!!"

"It was fantastic. They did excellent. They've done lot of painting. I've seen them painted houses and they've done excellent work. Very professional."

"They did a good job. They did it right and were more concerned about doing things the right way. The price okay, but it could have been a little lower."

"The construction went smoothly and I was impressed by the professionalism. Usually you end up picking up debris. I actually didn’t have to clean up after the crew. Definitely a 5 star review and I know who I will be calling and I feel confident to share the company’s name with friends and family."
