"Andreassi Masonry expertly repaired a very badly damaged walkway extending from the sidewalk to our front door. The work was exceptional, particularly because the crew--obviously very skilled!--raised and leveled sections of the walkway that had sunk an inch or two into the ground, so that the entire walkway is now perfectly even. The cost was very fair (at the completion of the work I attempted to pay a little more, but my offer was declined.) My wife and I can affirm from many years of home ownership that Andreassi Masonry's work is excellent in every way!!"

"Everything went very well. Ron has a small team that he works with to complete his jobs. He was on-site nearly every day and completed the majority of the work with Dan, someone who has been working with Ron for nearly 10 years. After they removed the deck, we had siding missing. Dan has many years of experience with siding and did a great job of replacing the missing siding (after matching the old siding color at Home Depot and painting the new siding, it is difficult to distinguish the new siding from the old). Their attention to detail was wonderful. Whenever it came to a design question or how to lay out the pavers, they made sure to check with us before proceeding. They also were careful and proactive in protecting our new driveway, fixing any soil that got damaged by their equipment, and cleaning up after their work. The concrete slab is a beauty. Ron placed large stones on the two sides of the shed base that cut into the hill, and it looks great. This is one of the nicest shed bases I’ve seen. I would work with Ron again – no hesitation! He was punctual, communicated well, and worked closely with us to ensure the patio was what we wanted. After hiring Ron to do this work, I was happy by the uniformly positive feedback I heard from others who have worked with him (e.g., workers at Sensenig's where we purchased the pavers). Although his operation is small (there are no fancy brochures or sweet-talking salespeople), it is nice knowing that you will get the “A-Team” if you hire Ron because he has only 1 team and he is on it. He also does not have much of a web presence as he relies primarily on word of mouth. In total, we paid $33,900 for this work and are happy with this price and our finished product."

"Great service from start to finish. Jonathan and his son were as professional as I have ever seen. They did exactly what they said they would, exactly when they said they would and at the exact price they said they would. With the exception of my new chimney crown, there was no evidence they were ever there...amazing clean up. This is the guy to call."

"From the estimate, all the way through to the day they finished, Andy was communicative, punctual, and pleasant. The stamped concrete patio they did for us exceeded our expectations, it is absolutely stunning! The price was very fair, the job was excellent, and my wife is thrilled!! What more can you ask for? I highly recommend them to anyone that needs any masonry work done. You will not be disappointed!"

"Initially I was given the names of three masonry companies. The first one wouldn't even give us an estimate of the job without a $100 fee. The second one told us we would have to tear out our entire livingroom floor (which we had just carpeted to the tune of $2,200) and even after saying that, was reluctant to take on the job. When Mark came (a very short time after I contacted him) he assessed the situation, gave us an estimate and let us make up our minds without any pressure. We hired him and we are so glad we did.
I was very impressed with his work ethic. He arrived on time, called ahead to make arrangements for when he would be there, and made it as easy as possible for us. He thoroughly cleaned up after himself each time he worked on the project. He was precise and clear when describing what needed to be done and answered all of our questions clearly and cheerfully. It is hard to find people to do work these days who have integrity and take pride in what they do. Mark has these qualities. He did a super job and I cannot say enough about him as a dedicated worker and as a person.
If you hire Mark Millet he will do the job right, and with efficiency and courtesy. He will treat your house as if it were his own and repair what is necessary in a professional manner. In my former job I sat on a Customer Service Committee which made recommendations for implementation of new initiatives in in a college setting. My background involves extensive research on customer service which includes reading reports, researching new methodologies, and making recommendations to college officials as a member of the committee. I can tell you without a doubt that Mark Millet is a true professional. I recommend him highly and without reservation, knowing that he is an exemplary worker and has the resources, knowledge and ability needed to complete any job he accepts. He knows his business inside and out and you can trust him. He also has the highest work ethic and customer service one could wish for. Outstanding on all counts!"

"After signing the contract at the end of April, sending deposit for 1/2 cost of the job, we were told they were working 2-3 weeks out. We waited until the end of May to call, left multiple messages with NO response back. Finally, I went online and submitted a request for an estimate. Only then did we get a call on 6/15. I had documented all the calls made and received many apologies. The job was then scheduled and thankfully completed. The installer was professional and did a good job. We like the window but the communication failure would lead me to never use them again."

"True Line did an excellent job for us. Our barn floor is perfect, and solid to this day. We also had them install a concrete retaining wall and entrance to our walkout basement and couldn’t be happier with the job! Mr. Odeychuk and his crew are very professional, courteous, and promptly complete the job to the customers satisfaction. We’ve recommended True Line to our family, friends and neighbors for any masonry work needed."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Rochester, NY

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
